  1. Past hour
  2. Probably slightly leaning towards red hat on here but very much black hat in normal life.
  3. Yesterday
  4. Anyone got one of these knocking about? I may need one…I may not…😏
  5. Nothing there I disagree with Woody! My key "counter" point was that playing weddings can be a lot of fun...the thrust of the earlier posts was that they are a chore and done mainly for money, which was putting the likes of Phil off. (And if you re-read my post I was saying our figures per head, like your band, are also below £400 each). We do plenty of pub gigs too!
  6. My sire v7-5 is superb value
  7. Agree totally sniffed at, but punch far above their weight
  8. That's what gave me hope. But elsewhere it also says that to charge, all you do is plug the units in the charger, without mentioning the button, so I find it a bit ambiguous.
  9. I’m a green hat at work as I always have the left field “not what we did last time” ideas
  10. Where would you put a hat anyway? You're headless!
  11. I get your point, but it’s all about taste (stop thinking about your nan). If you could afford a premium car like an Audi, bmw, jag etc would you buy it in snot green? I’d suggest it’s more likely you’d get black, dark blue etc and sunburst is a bit like that .. and tort.. which is always cool 🍿
  12. I think a better question might be “what haven’t I done?” possibly a few capabara remain …
  13. The only way that could be less disturbing is if you’d meant to type “someone else’s” instead of “my”
  14. Over My Shoulder - Mike and the Meckernicks
  15. You might as well cast a horoscope as use Myers-Briggs. What colour hat is natural contrariness, and what one is a desire to treat cause rather than symptoms?
  16. I often put my Zoom MS-60B+ on top of the amp with a short lead. At one gig, everything went silent at one point and I saw that the pedal had vibrated off the amp. So I took to using a longer lead and putting the pedal on the floor, except at a couple of open mic nights where the pedal sits quite happily on top of the amp and stays there. Until tonight. Bah. Another open mic one, this time when playing guitar - I'm so used to playing wireless that at the end of my slot, I just stood up and walked off stage, causing a mic stand and music stand to come crashing down. Oops.
  17. Well, I can be the counter counter! We are a pub cover band, but regardless to that we do get asked to play peoples weddings. we are not a function band and not 'professional' in the function band sense, but we are professional in the 'turn up and play what people want' way. We have played a fair few weddings, 2 in the last couple of months, we charge a fraction of what others charge, so more the £200 each than the £400 each you are talking about, but people have always seemed happy and we have had nice messages after the weddings. The common thing in all the weddings is that we have been specifically asked by people who have seen us, so there is no surprise, we aren't advertising ourselves as a wedding band but if people want us, we are happy to do it, and they know what they are going to get.
  18. I'd add if this us the same compressor as the badass it's pretty good.
  19. Very nice! My current setup is mostly for work, have my mac mini for personal stuff. Recently had to give up my office for the offsprings new bedroom so been struggling to downsize to about half the space. Finally gave up on dual screens and studio monitors and have had to make do with a more humble setup more fit for the new space: Going to make a new desk top once ive got a few other house bits out of the way with some better cable management, some speaker stands and a shelf to house the kvm and interface etc. I really want a way to integrate my midi controller too, perhaps on a sliding tray. Until then it'll do!
  20. Up for sale is my Bright Onion Mini Dual Momentary Footswitch. Perfect companion for HX Stomp etc to add a couple of switches. In great condition, with velcro on the bottom. Will include a 28cm EBS Flat TRS Patch Cable (£7 new). This pedal + cable would be £40 posted from Bright Onion, so on offer here for £28 posted. Any questions, please ask. Cheers!
  21. ITYF it has to be in his uncle's attic to be authentic.
  22. Ive got a Rumble 25, had it for a few years, probably used it 5 times. It's a lovely combo but I just cant be bothered getting it out to play once every now and then. I think the Joyo is small enough to sit on the or under my desk for when I do fancy a blast.
  23. Ok, so GAS has got the better of me (again) and I’ve splurged a load of cash on something else, so this is now available for £120 including UK second class delivery.
  24. I'll take the one that's left after others have...
