  1. Past hour
  2. My brother gave me a block-type one at Christmas. I think it was to make sure I don't break the headstock of any of his Gibsons when tiddling about in their internals.
  3. Pull the other one!
  4. I see the same error message box - just smaller!
  5. Great load box for valve amps but have also used this with bigger amps to get a great Di sound goes between your amp and cab, has a great analog cab sim for both guitar and bass and can be used in a home studio combined with an ir plugin to use different cabs
  6. I've put a few pedals for sale, but none of them show a thumbnail and at least some of them fail to display the images in the post itself. I've been using this method for as long as I can remember, I have no idea why it's not working now. I can't be the only one using Dropbox. Has anybody else found issues? Using Chrome browser, Windows 11/10 (different computers).
  7. Poor Scott really could do with a script. If only he could get straight to the point now and again.
  8. I don't know what's going on with the pictures... 😕 If you copy/paste this into a new browser window it should display: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/dmc0qsstctanrv5a9dkpl/IMG_20250511_142124.jpg?rlkey=30q3y5x613v5lnlhes6eqtm51&dl=1 It's the yellow one: https://www.markbass.it/product/markbass-mb-octaver/
  9. I think I'll get a set of the Dunlop 30-125 for the Cort.
  10. Thank you for letting me know. I've reduced the size and it appears to display now... Gremlins...
  11. BangMeringue - Skrillex

  13. I've finally finished my 100 year old(ish) John Gray and Sons 'Dulcetta' zither banjo. I had to silver solder the tailpiece and tension ring, then make a flesh ring (I cut down an embroidery ring). I fitted the goatskin myself, having last done this on a banjo mandolin in about 1983. I also had to make the bone nut from a guitar size blank. The first string snapped twice but I was able to thread it through a bit of plastic tube for protection from the rather severe ben in the tailpiece. Strings are Aquila nylgut. Tuned GDGBD. Or will be when they stop stretching! I love the engraved cover for the tuners. The positions of the tuning knobs bears minimal relationship to the strings. I fitted them all so winding away fom me increases tension... for my sanity.

  14. The zero fret is a fuzz where you simply have fuzz and clean level controls sounds great and super simple
  15. This is basically bosses big muff
  16. Just not using this and it’s too good to not be used! has a separate boost and sounds incredible £135 posted
  17. Caveat emptor, I’m afraid unless you bought through eBay
  18. Candle Wax or Hard Soap on the threads for lube...
  19. The demo on the FS post (if it is the same one) mentions there's no compression as well, you can clearly hear how quiet the low B is and that would be immediately noticeable to anybody owning the bass. I think the seller needs to step up here tbh, unfortunately the bass has goofy pickup surrounds so there may not be an easy fix which retains the overall look of the bass. If you're ok with tighter string spacing then maybe swap the bridge out for something which allows for that like a Schaller 3D etc? What's the spacing at the moment?
  20. Today
  21. I had the distinct pleasure of a brief noodle on this bass yesterday. Being tuned BEAD it felt a bit like the time I tuned my baritone to Bolt Thrower tuning (whatever that was). My point of reference for basses of this era is my ‘94 Ibanez Soundgear (also a PJ). In comparison the SB310 felt a little bit more substantial (perception more than reality I would say, maybe a slightly deeper neck profile) but both seem to spring from the same design brief. Anyway I appreciated the chance to play something a bit esoteric that I’d hitherto only read about!
  22. The Lemon Song — Led Zeppelin
  23. your photo doesn't work but I can confirm these are very nice pedals
  24. Suspended in Jaffa - Kate Bush
  25. It feels so painfully and pointlessly slow - as if I am trying to play bass guitar left handed. I have gone backwards. As I said to my teacher, "I used to be a musician, until I started playing the piano." As for my piano teacher, I don't think that he is trained in that discipline, but he makes up for it by being a skilled musician and former band leader. I once played an arpeggio, or somesuch, and commented that it sounds like All Kinds of Everything by Dana. "I played with her". On other occasions, he mentioned working with Harry Seacombe, Max Bygraves, Shirley Bassey. I really need to ask him more about his background!
  26. Yes. They said "Take your market stall and dodgy goods elsewhere, we've got enough problems with the Romans without your sort too"
  27. Ever wanted that mega Bi phase action like a musitronic! But smaller and cheaper. These are difficult to find, so my last bump.
