After lots of rasping , scraping and sanding it started to look like a proper neck: Made the side position markers: And filled the gaps under the fret tangs with a mix of ebony saw dust and wood glue: Shaped the outline of the headstock. And sanded it to the desired thickness: Drilled ten holes for the tuners:

Drilled holes for the position markers. (I used FindFret2D to calculate the fret angles). The bass has a 35" to 32" scale. And when the position dots were in place prepared the fretboard for the frets. Pressed the frets in: And when that was one I glued the fretted fretboard onto the neck. Left to dry overnight And then started shaping the neck with a shinto rasp:

As always the build started with buying some blanks for the body and neck. I managed to sore some nice khaya mahogany pieces. Routed the neck for a carbon reïnforcement strip in the middle. Then routed two slots for the truss rods. Since it was going to be a multi scale bass I chose two different lenghts: Cut out the headstock angle with the band saw: You have to think in 3D when you cut the angle!

Get yourself up to the Curtis Brothers Gym in Lanark. Couple of sessions a week and within 3-6mths you'll feel and see a huge difference. You can really go for it and take on a Personal Trainer for 10 sessions if you feel you need to be pushed a bit. Been going almost 5yrs now Lee and i feel great. The 2 brothers Barry & Craig Curtis are ex-military but they are really nice guys. Very friendly gym with most people saying Hi when you walk in. Did you injure yourself or just completely unfit ? Nice sounding powerful (12K) overwound P Bass pickups, with flat pole pieces - Home use only & in excellent condition. £25.00 including postage to the U.K. What Tonerider say……. Overwound for more low end response, the Duke P delivers more punch and thickness to your Precision Bass. Scatterwound coils on fully charged Alnico 5 polepieces allow for an increased output - making the Duke the perfect "Vintage Modern" set. Wax potted to eliminate microphonic feedback. The two coils are RWRP for noise cancelling operation - just like the originals. The Duke P is available with flat or staggered polepieces. Staggered polepieces work especially well with basses with more rounded fingerboards, such as the 7 1/4" radius boards found on vintage models and reissues. Moog Minitaur Bass Synth Module This is the up to date v 2.2 edition, comes complete with box, PSU and manuals. Lovely two oscillator synth specifically voiced for bass but can produce lead sounds too. The ladder filter is classic Moog with weight and width to the oscillators. It is a US made synth - Moog has since changed ownership and now mainly manufactured in the far east. The Minitaur is well constructed in a pressed steel case with nice positive action on all buttons and knobs. It is based on the classic Moog Taurus bass pedals of the 70’s as used by Rush, Genesis, Yes and more. All works as it ought to with plenty of control via the front panel, also presets and the ability to hook up to a computer and fine tweak sounds via free Moog software. The module is in excellent condition albeit with some cosmetic ‘rack rash’ on the sides of the unit. UK only, I’d prefer pick up in person but can post at buyer’s expense.

A small but powerful modular system I put together based around a Moog Mother 32 synth and sequencer. I added a Doepfer LFO A145 for increased modulation possibilities. I also added an Erica PICO DSP for onboard effects such as delays, chorus and reverb. There is a Doepfer mixer A138 and Behringer CP1A power supply. The modules are housed in an official Moog 104 HP case with some rack space left for more modules. The unit is unboxed and comes with mains adapter, patch leads as pictured. There is no midi lead included. The units are in very good condition and the Moog unit was recently serviced. The case has a cosmetic scratch at the front as pictured. I can include some extra rack screws. It’s compact but quite heavy as there is a lot packed into a small space! It is a great introduction to modular with plenty of patch options for experimentation. The Mother 32 has an onboard sequencer and small rubber ‘keys’ so it can be used standalone using headphones or an amp. It can be triggered by external midi or cv controllers. Selling as a complete unit. Pickup preferred but I can post UK only at buyer’s cost. It’s worth looking at reviews of each module to get a better perspective of what they can do. I’ll list on here to see if there is any interest before trying the usual…..

What’s weird about it? Seems pretty logical to me when the pedal is based around the screen.

Thanks. And appreciate that not everyone does. I still prefer my CD collection and talked at length with Chris on the night about having something physical Vs the convenience of streaming. YouTube so you can enjoy them?

That's fair Steve. So if it was me I've had very good luck with Squiers so would look at another one. I know you don't like them however 🙂

Blimey, who is THIS young whipper-snapper?? (I’d just like to add that this video is older than 8 years!) - I’m not sure what happened to the Cliff Burton bass review. -

My old Hartke 300w 8ohm 4 x 10 VX410 cab. Not used it in years and years, now decluttering so please come get from Holbeach, Lincs (back end of nowhere, near Spalding). I can get it to Peterborough/Sleaford/Kings Lynn if needs be. Fair condition, working order last time I used it (about ten years ago). Been stored in the house since then.
