Contribution to the tonewood debate - a unique take (Bacci)

I guess you mean wenge neck and/or fingerboard as a full wenge instrument would be so heavy... That said, I'm with you concerning tonewood. 😉 -

I do think there's a visual loss with the move to modellers over traditional amps. Unless a lot of time and thought has gone into a stage design, to the point that having your amps and cabs on the stage would actually take away from the overall look of things. But, on the other hand, as Red says, it's now also a lot more possible to get to gigs in smaller vehicles, less vehicles, etc. which is a big money saver for a lot of people. Perhaps the middle ground is venues buying cheap empty cabs to fill the back wall of the stage with?

That One 10 defines physics. Moving air isn't just an expression, it's how speakers work. A high quality modern ten with 8mm excursion capacity will move as much air as vintage fifteen with 3mm excursion.

Fake amps and cabs as stage props are fine if you have a nice big truck/van for all the gear, but since my band ditched all our backline we've been able to get the whole band plus all our gear for playing live and our roadie/merch seller in a single estate car. In the days when I was still using a big bass rig the only thing that took up more room in the van was the drum kit.

My eyes see "wenge" and my brain sees "wedgie". I'm such a child. -
I just have one tiny little cab with 2 5’s , it sounds great if you sit right in front of it , but it doesn’t fill a room. Also have a little Barefaced One 10 that isn’t that much larger. That One 10 defies physics.

Thanks very much for the pics guys! That said, I'm still a bit confused as to where this loose wire from the hot pole of the jack needs to go. Mine has a barrel jack like Bigguy's.

Bought brand new back in December 2023, features all the bells and whistles you’d expect from the GK stable - 4 band EQ, contour switch (for scooped mids) and boost switch. I’ve used it a fair bit this year, but the only issue with it is something was dropped on it at some point, denting one of the rear corners. Doesn’t affect the sound or the structure of the casing, so otherwise it is in great condition. It has recessed side handles and casters attached which are easily removed, and comes with a custom made padded cover made by HotCovers. These retail for around £1100 new (without the cover), looking to shift it pretty rapidly as I have gigs pending, so the asking price is £700. I am open to sensible offers…. Selling because it’s too big for my needs. Located on the Isle of Wight, but can meet at any of our ferry ports (Portsmouth/Southampton/Lymington/Southsea) for collection. I can also personally deliver for an additional £50 to cover my ferry fare, within a sensible distance, London or an equivalent location distance wise would probably be my limit. Thanks for looking. 😊

And me mate. I understand Brian's perhaps not in an easy position, but I'm very keen to learn the identity of the guy doing the faking, after all he could be using feedback on his work from this forum to perfect his work before he starts flooding the market with fakers....

Shepster8316 started following Sire Marcus Miller Z7 4-String (Happy to Post)
-
Sire Marcus Miller Z7 in Burgundy and in excellent 'as new' condition. I bought this as my need to fill my StingRay type requirements with an added extra of what an extra pickup might contribute of needed, but seeing as I managed to get hold of a MM that does the b, this is sadly now surplus to requirements. The single coil does a decent P-Bass impression too when used on its own. I've also attached a pic of what the controls do. Home use only, never left the house (other than for the photos) and all set up with rounds on it and good to go. No case came with it but I may be able to find a gig-bag. Priced to sell as I think they're about £480-ish when 'proper new'. All info is online, but before I'm asked... it weighs in at 9.3lb (4.2kg). Happy to sort out postage if need and can go as cheap or expensive as any prospective buyer might want. It'll be well packaged as I have access to the other half's business packaging room along with cardboard guitar transit boxes.

Where is this source?

It could be called - vintage reverb.

Sort of shows how easy it is, eh? Stuff like this makes me sad.
