  2. As well as the output of two volumes too and the opposite lug must not be grounded.
  3. Most of the band members have been playing gigs since the '60s and started this band in the late '70s, so wrong on both counts... although I fully understand why you would think that. Rehearsals are fine as we're all facing each other. I don't think there is any issue with any individual being purposefully too loud. It seems to be more the case that it's a complete guess as to what volume each instrument should be at a gig as nobody in the band hears how it sounds out front. In my view the volume is set by the acoustic drum kit and the other instruments and vocals need to balance with that. How does the vocalist line check to "get the right volume" if they are unaware of how loud the drums sound in the venue? There is no line check of the drums as they are not going through the PA.
  4. Do let us know if it works. Did my last gig with my right index finger super glued together 😂
  5. No it goes to the right hand tab of the tone pot.
  6. Putting up my natural gloss Spector CST5 . I’ve got two of these wonderful basses and one of them isn’t getting enough playing time .Bought in October 2024 from Bassdirect it’s had minimal use and is in fantastic condition. It’s a stock bass so comes with EMGX pickups in a PJ configuration with Darkglass legacy preamp . Also a Spector gigbag is included. Would consider a trade . MTD , Status or similar 5 strings. No fanned fret as I already have a Dimension 5

  15. Might be worth asking Chris at Rift Amps (in Northamptonshire). He does re-creations of classic valve amps, as well as his own designs. According to his website, he's developing a valve bass head at the moment.
  16. Stunning! I went to Riga for only a weekend some years back - a fantastic city. 👍
  17. I bought another Peavey microbass, this time from 1980s era rather than 2000s, and to be honest it's pretty great.
  18. Considering the RRP I can't believe someone hasn't snapped these up at such a bargain price.
  19. Watch The Review+ Demo here With just a month left to get a pre-order in, I thought some of you might find my latest review of the new Sterling by Music Man Joe Dart ii signature model useful. This is in no way sponsored or paid for by Sterling, I was just lucky enough to get hold of a pre-production unit before they're released to the public and so hopefully you find this useful!
  20. From the Dutch news: " NOS News • Friday, 22:48 Bankrupt Bax Music makes a fresh start with former director Bankrupt Bax Music is making a fresh start. Jochanan Bax, founder and former director, and investor Stijn Bakkeren are taking over the company. This is evident from an email from the curators to the dismissed staff, in the possession of Omroep Zeeland . Bax Music is one of the largest stores for musical instruments and equipment in Europe. Early last month, the company was declared bankrupt . It had been in financial trouble for some time and had previously filed for suspension of payments. Bax Music was founded in 2003 by two brothers, Nathanael and Jochanan Bax. Due to a conflict with the other shareholders, Jochanan, the sole board member, was fired earlier this year. Shortly before the bankruptcy declaration, Jochanan Bax already announced that he wanted to make a fresh start with the company in the event of bankruptcy. That now seems to have succeeded. In the e-mail from the curator, it can be read that he is trying to keep the majority of the staff. Bax Music employed approximately 300 people. Jochanan Bax was not yet available for comment on Friday evening"
  21. Yes. It's all working and as it should be. Everything is stock: 19mm spacing at bridge, the string spacing/positioning at nut and bridge is how Lakland (and many other manufacturers) do it - the G is slightly closer to the edge of the fretboard than the E is.
  22. The most important question is surely not "is that a mod?", but "is that mod any good for metal?".
  23. I have used him in the past on an old Ric I had.. Black plate and TRC which he would only do on proof the Ric is genuine...
