  2. Yep (ref. pg#3). Do we need to give any disclaimers regarding that "the management accepts no responsibility", etc.?
  3. Cue: Disappointed groan... 🤦‍♂️
  4. Id buy the Ibanez bass. It’s an absolutely brilliant bass, sound s great and plays really well. Whenever you search online you’ll find people who complaining about something. Buy it from a shop and pay with a credit card and you’ll have bullet proof consumer rights. I gigged with the Ibanez, used it for teaching and travelling. Loved it.
  5. 'Pianobook' has had a colourful facelift, and a few new libraries uploaded: Pianobook – a global collective of sound enthusiasts
  6. I see that Ryannair staff are incentivised to identify bags that are too big to fit in the cabin. I’m cynical enough to imagine the same model applying here.

    Cabinet Plans

OK, things have moved on a bit albeit slowly. I decided to go down the build rather than restore route, mainly for weight reasons and that I don't need the full power of the 2x10. I decided to build two of the BC110T cabinets, then I can either use one or two as needed. I have a really good timber merchants nearby who will cut timer to your requirements. So I used OptiCutter, an online layout system to produce a cutting plan for 2 cabinets and sent the PDF to the merchants who cut it for me. Total cost £32. I've manage to build the basics of the first cabinet, some pictures attached. The speakers are now out of the Ashdown cabinet and they have turned out to be from Eminence. I've emailed them to see if they can provide the specs. I have also incuded a photo of the speaker in case anyone here can shed some light on them. It all going well and I'll post further progress as I go along
  8. Reduced to £50. Kent Armstrong Bass Humbucker for a 4 string bass. Circa 1990 when I purchased new and still in excellent condition and virtually unmarked. It's been in two of my basses over the last 35 years and sounds great. I think these were handmade, add £7.00 for UK insured postage.

  15. That should be fine. Don't forget to change the FX loop settings in the stomp otherwise your backing track will go through all your FX and sound like crap! It's in the Global Settings. Then if you fancy treating yourself - something like the amazing Moises app will let you remove the bass from your tunes and boost the drums and so on. It's an amazing practice tool. It's not free but there are different sub levels. It will run on your phone easily as all the processing is done server side. You can even save the versions of the songs but with the bass removed if you want. With a bit of effort you could get a 1 or 2 month sub to Moises and save a couple of hundred of your favourite tunes with the bass removed and then just stick them in your iTunes library for future use. No need to keep the sub going unless there are new tunes you want to do.
  16. @fretmeister i have zero cables haha hence my questions ! Not very good with this kinda stuff. so you think this option with just one lightning cable would be good to go? https://amzn.eu/d/bhb34mb
