I had a pair of these. Possibly the best bass cab ever made.

I rhink it probably would have been taken into consideration if he'd had plead gulity and shown remorse, but the charges were pretty serious. After we returned a verdict the judge revealed he had previous convictions, although she didn't go into any detail & I've not been able to find out specifics. Anyway after a two month delay for 'reports' (although he was immediately locked up after the verdict pending setencing) he eventually got 22 years.

In the case I was on the jury for last year the guy was originally charged in 2021. So again over 4 years to get to crown court. That was quite a nasty one too, with the guy having pretty much been caught red handed on some of the charges. But by denying the charges and pleading not gulity at every stage he basically got 4 extra years of freedom before starting his jail term.

I was really taken aback seeing Level 42 on the Retroglide tour years ago. Mark was playing a MK1 Kingbass through Ashdown amps and his tone was absolutely ferocious. Super crisp and clean but with a huge amount of punch. That setup really moved the air in the way that his other basses don't - I love the Jaydees but they don't have the 'fullness' of sound or body that the Status did.

That's a fairly normal timescale. In August 2019 I dealt with a case of S.20 assault that didn't go to trial until the summer of 2023, almost four years after the offence and three years after the charge was issued. Courts are absolutely rammed at the moment and they have been for years. Cases are often continually pushed back to make room for more complex or more serious cases.

Does Your Covers Band Change Songs? What Changes and Why?
Sean replied to Sean's topic in General Discussion
After rehearsal tonight, I can only say that this is just a complete misinterpretation, mistranscription of a song. Jeez. It's a train crash. I'm left wondering how to deal with it. I've managed to get the message across about it all being C# for 12 bars but the effort versus reward is stacked against me when we're trying to get gig-ready. It works if I play the bass line as roots of the chords the guitarists play (of course) but it's a butcher's shop of a song after the reprise. I'm struggling to see how whoever got it that wrong/different. Not only that but the arrangement is different inasmuch as there's extra bits and missing bits compared to the original. What have we learned? Well, you might not be as rubbish as they or you think they are, you might be a genuine bass god but those around you haven't got the memo yet. On the other hand, I might just be part of a really elaborate wind up. Fortunately, it's a band of people that are very balanced and OK with challenging anything. It's a rare thing. -

I understand you're using a Caveman preamp and compressor, plus a vintage Boss chorus. What other pedals are you using?

Warwick / Hipshot Xtender issue - help advice.......
BassTool replied to Shaggy's topic in Repairs and Technical
I've fitted a drop D tuner on a lot of my basses including my Warwick Thumb NT, I absolutely love them. Only way I could get mine to fit was indeed as you've suggested @Shaggy Only one side of tuners needed shifting to make it work, and to this day after being fitted for around 16/17 years nobody has ever commented on the tuners being in the wrong place! Bit of a stretch to reach that A tuner mind 😂 -
Bought from the Juan Alderete Reverb store when he had his big clearout. Had it shipped to the uk and professionally changed to UK voltage and the thru jack nut added (as it was missing/fallen off) Everything works perfectly and if you’re looking for a justification of why you should have a bigger heavier Khan DI, well these work as a passive DI 😇 you can also turn the tube on or off on the Thru. Since arriving, I’ve taken it to the studio, done a NAM capture and moved it from box to box in the house.
