  1. Yesterday
  2. Just back from playing my fretless one tonight. Great basses.
  3. I will keep you in suspense... I have a new borad but awaiting low profile patch leads so I can add a couple more pedals.
  4. Hi all, does anyone know where I can order these from please?
  5. I am selling this magnificent '65 bass, L series. Making a description of the Jazz Bass seems repetitive and boring to me. From the photos you can draw your own conclusions. I add some details to complete the information. It weighs about 8,48 LB (3,850 kg). It is not exact but very approximate. Everything is original and sounds like a '65 jazz bass should sound. The truss works correctly. The body has the normal knocks of a 60 year old bass. It has another dent on the neck that is purely cosmetic. It's not noticeable when you're playing and you run your thumb over it. For this reason and because of the normal wear and tear of the instrument, I propose a more interesting price than the '65 jazz basses offered on other platforms or stores. If you want an authentic bass at a more reasonable price and save money, this is your bass. Comes with an original vintage Fender case with the logo. It is not the one that appears in the photo. I could accept as part of the payment a 5 or 6 string bass that interests me and that does not exceed €2500 (2,100 GBP) Shipping at buyer's expense.
  6. Hopefully it'll get good enough for a not too strenuous gig. I've found myself starting to alter the way I use my left hand if I notice a riff feeling "odd". It varies from gig to gig. It depends on a lot of different factors so just persevere and I'm sure you'll find a way to get "back in the saddle".
  7. I Heard It Through The Grapevine - Marvin Gaye
  8. I'll happily give it to you in exchange for (insert your own 4 digit number between £6999 and £9999) 🤣
  9. I need to remember this listing is here next time get paid before I go to strings direct - I’ve never heard of these but I’ll take your word for it, if they were standard fit on Wal’s they’re hardly likely to be crap (and I’m not majorly fussy about my rounds anyway as long as they’re not awful!). Hopefully I’ll remember and be back for a couple of sets of these!
  10. That sounds like it needs the relief either reducing or increasing (I'm not sure which way round you're using "top" and "last frets"), and possibly shimming. If the strings are close to the frets at the headstock end but far off at the body end, there's either too much relief in the neck or the neck is tilted forwards. If the strings are close to the frets at the body end but far off at the headstock end, there's either too little relief in the neck (possibly a backbow) or the neck is tilted back. Either take it to someone who knows what they're doing to see if it can be set up, or learn to do setups yourself (it's not hard). And you can just paste the URL of the image into your post, as long as it starts "https://" and ends ".jpg", ".png", or ".gif"
  11. What angers me is action fraud, the police, Facebook and PayPal are all not interested… and this guy can go on scamming and scamming for years on end
  12. Ah, but this thread is about basses we used to own, if you inadvertently post a photo of one you still have you have to give it to me 👍
  13. No worries dude, thanks for commenting I've just taken delivery of 2 super compact T's I also have the Abm 750 because I'm a complete b*stard 🤣 New below, please note this one isn't for sale!
  14. Errrm, no. If it makes you feel any better, 2017 is the same year I bought mine. I still have it 😎
  15. I have a barefaced 4x10 and would buy these to add to it if I wasnt extremely poor right now but I am sure whoever does get them will love them, my main question is what are you replacing them with? also GLWTS
  16. Nice work. I did a very similar project a year or two ago. I'd made a baritone guitar back in 2018 that played nicely but was insanely heavy (ash, man). Took the whole thing apart and completely reshaped the body to reduce the weight. I don't know about you, but I found taking a big set of rasps and gouges to an instrument I'd already decided was finished to be even more nerve-wracking than building one from scratch. It feels like you're going back to square one.
  17. First pass at redoing my second board onto a PT Nano rather than a Nano+. Tighter spacing, but I wanted the smaller footprint and the trickier 3 switches in the middle of the board (Tuner/Drive/Chorus) should be much more accessible with he addition of some Barefoot Button ‘Tallboy’ switch toppers. Corona Chorus and the 66 are getting swapped out in the next month or so, watch this space. All powered with a Cioks Sol smartly fixed in place with their clamp, very neat setup that! Cheers Si

Ooo, how long will it take you to verify/build one? Si
