  2. Will listen to offers on this - looking at a gibson
  3. Will listen to offers on this as I’m looking at a Gibson
  4. Nearly went. dont be sensible…whatever you do
  5. Interesting, I’ve seen a similar trans orange from fender but not fiesta red. Although I used to have a trans finish jazz bass and I think it was described as crimson red.
  6. Thanks to SBL and TikTok there’s “whipperslappers” everywhere
  7. I had this exact thing at a scooter rally a few weeks ago. Klark Teknik on the frontline with a long cable plugged in. I just plugged it in after my board and thankfully there were no problems but I did wonder what would happen if it came to a disagreement. It can't go before my board as I'm wireless and said wireless is my tuner. It's not going between the wireless and the modeller as I use the pitch shifter. Even if I didn't I am NOT rewiring a board on stage with 5 minutes until the first song. So it's after, that's the only choice.
  8. So, I bought this as a Maple Neck and pretty much unmarked 3TSB body combo (matching headstock), nicely pre-routed for a battery box (this is a MB4 which is passive normally) I built this up as a gigging bass so have chosen nice hardware. Sub 4 pre amp and controls plate. pre 2017 style Mman bridge. Dual coil DELANO pickup Series/Parallel switching Fret End dressed so no finger biters here. The fretting is really good considering to price point. Takes a good low action and I have bevel filed the fret ends so good to go. 'ray scratchplate. Currently strung with flats (a la Bernard Edwards). I have gigged this bass and it sounds and plays great. Not heavy or Noisy. No issues, i just dont play 4 string as much as i did. Meet up anywhere around the m25, also can post for an additional £30, always insured. Pickup from Rochester is also an option.
  9. And another lateral thinking thought... Can the functions you want, be accessed from a computer running the editor program attached to the X32? If so you should be able to use something like an AirTurn pedal to control the editor program which in turn controls the X32. If the functions in the editor program doesn't have the necessary keyboard shortcuts you may need an additional utility to produce some. On the Mac I can recommend Keyboard Maestro I use this with an AirTurn for controlling our backing track functions. I'm sure there's something similar available for Windows. Of course Dad3353's suggestion of an external delay device that has the required functions is probably a far simpler solution.
  10. Oi! There’s only one ‘O them round ‘ere.
  11. Here is my 'bitzer' precision. It was originally built from a sunburst alder Japanese body and maple/ebony fretless neck from Brandoni guitars about 20ish years ago. I have changed hardware over the years, and since a major rebuild where I replaced the neck a few weeks ago, the only parts that remain from my original build are the body, strap buttons, and the neckplate & gasket. The parts that make it up are: Brandoni MIJ sunburst body (suspiciously similar to the body on the 1990 CIJ '62 reissue precision I used to own) Fender maple/maple Jazz to Precision conversion neck (the fretwork was spot-on so no additional levelling/crowning etc was required) Hipshot HB7 lollipop tuners (The neck was ready drilled for this size of tuners, so I didn't use the HB2 set from the fretless neck) Nickel plated String retainer from Armstrong music 'AliExpress' 4-ply aged pearloid pickguard (Identical to guards costing several times as much and a perfect fit — I just needed to drill a second hole for the thumb rest) Fender HiMass bridge (with chrome plated brass saddles) Fender Thumb rest Fender Strap buttons (with 'Grolsch' strap blocks) Fender 'F' neckplate with black gasket EMG Geezer Butler pickup & loom Callaghan late 50's style heavy knurled nickel plated knobs (£40 & worth every penny!) Ernie Ball 2815 Cobalt Flatwounds 40-60-70-95 I am using a Levys brown suede strap with this bass. The neck came fitted with a nut which required the slots to be cut much deeper and shaped. I was originally going to attempt this myself, but as I have do not pocess the tools, expertise, or good eyesight needed, I took the bass to the Gallery in Camden where John did a fantastic job for just £40. I'm really pleased with this bass. The jazz-width neck and perfect setup makes it almost play itself, and the combination of the EMG GZR & the Cobalt flats make it sound absolutely huge.
  12. On the other hand, it should be possible, and doubtless easier, to route an Aux Send/Return to an external delay unit that has the required on/off and tap-tempo features.
  13. Get to it my friend! Don't let we Canucks down! LOL
  14. Dan Coggins is currently taking on repairs again, Oxfordshire based. Does valve amps mainly, and transistor/ fet ones, but not really the digital stuff. Encyclopaedic knowledge! He's great with analogue pedals too, having been the designer of the legendary Lovetone pedals... Email [email protected] No affiliation, just a happy customer and mate!
  15. Nice double humbucker version of the Sub4 with some little tweaks (or major as the pre amp is rather nice). Comes with a rosewood neck, presented in an unmarked metallic blue. So mods.. As with my other Sub2 listing, i dont like the cheap looking bridge on the Sub4 series, so this has been upgraded to the pre 2017 EB stingray version. 2 band JOHN EAST pre amp. Nuff said. its the dog danglies and unobtainium at the moment. Hipshot detuner, most excellent if you are into rage against the machine detuning mid gig. I know i have done it and it sounds great. Really stable and repeatable to use. Artec pickups. I tried the stocks and a few other i have laying around and the artecs are a really good match for the JH pre. Not too hot and well voiced. Carbon fibre style car wrapped scratchplate (over the original plain white) Its fully set up, in as new condition, not a boat anchor but not silly Glarry light either, around 9 lbs, perfect weight for longs gigs. I have gigged this bass a number of times and its a great gig ready instrument. New these are £499 so priced keenly bearing in mind there are £200+ mods on board. Can ship at buyers expense (insured), meetup anywhere nearish to the M25. or pickup/try out, Rochester, Kent
  16. Like mine and ill like yours.........🤔
  17. Fender at its best. I don't remember ever seeing a passive Fender PJ before.

  21. Hi, I wondered if anyone could confirm the wood that my bow is made from. I don't think it is brazilwood as it is too light weight, is it pernambuco or is it something else? Thank you in advance! Steve
  22. A solid workhorse bass that wont let you down, in near perfect condition, features a 5 piece maple/nato bolt on neck, 45 degree string through body design, passive split coil and single bar pickups, with toggle switch tone and volume controls. Specs: Nut Width: 40mm String Spacing: 19mm Scale Length: 34" Weight: 3.94kg
  23. Ive managed to find a guitar box, so delivery is now an option
  24. Pictures or it didn't happen!
  25. Ditch the tort-ure scratchplate? Seriously though if my credit cards weren't giving me daily manxiety i would snatch you arm off, it's a stunning bass.
  26. One final bit of lateral thinking for accessing tap-tempo via MIDI. If the delay time can be synchronised to MIDI clock or MTC then it might be possible to use a device that can transmit MIDI clock or MTC, that has its own tap tempo footswitch, to use the MIDI timing information to control the delay time on the X32.
