Thank you! I’ve been a paid member in the past but not in the present I’m afraid. I’m not trying to sell it here without subscription. Just wanted a quote on the value. Hope that is not against the rules.

I’d suspect this is a “first edition” and a wav version (maple?) will arrive at some point

Difficult to argue, but it's just not reflective of 2025 unfortunately. Used prices are chasing new prices hard now, I doubt you'd get a nice US Bongo for much less than double the cost of the new Sterling, which is a significant jump and still makes the Sterling an attractive prospect.

Bear in mind that most bass manufacturers have had to acquiesce to the fact that the prevalent trend is for P Basses and retro instruments in general. Kudos to Ned for completely ignoring that with this offering. There's no dressing this bass up as being anything but futuristic and hi-tech.

“This special model is made in Detroit, Michigan by Sankuer Composite Technologies, noted in the auto and music industry for producing carbon fiber products to the highest standard. Production from the SCT6 FIN Bass Guitar mold will be limited to twelve units, after which the mold will be permanently retired.” I can read. That’s my basis. 😉 (on the website link above)

If you’re a signed up member (paid) there’s a thread called what’s it worth. Otherwise this is used by some newbies as a free ad to sell a bass. Worth a search of the for sale ads too to get an idea. One of the retailers like bass bros, bass direct or the bass gallery would give a more accurate price than I could, but I’d expect around £2/3k.

Pedaltrain Classic JR with Truetone 1Spot Pro CS12
hundredsoflegs posted a topic in Effects For Sale
Amaze your friends and embarrass your guitarists by bringing more pedals than them to practice! All you'll need to experiment with confusingly long signal chains, in one convenient package! Almost unused (never gigged) Pedaltrain Classic JR with Truetone 1Spot Pro CS12 power supply mounted and ready to go. Comes in its soft case with kettle lead and pedal power leads (not patch leads). Rough side velcro applied. £250 Inc UK postage "Like a multi-effects pedal, but less convenient!" - me, after spending £300 on a pedalboard and power supply-

I haven't got one!

Same, but the smaller and cheaper little brother Boss XS-1. The demos I've watched sound very promising, and it should be able to do a better job then the TC Electronic Sub'N'Up Mini I use currently to emulated an octave course 8 string bass -esque effect. Am really looking forward to trying it out. I should have it by Tuesday.

People with pre CBS Fender basses are like people with MBAs. You’ll know within 5 minutes of chatting, without ever needing to ask. I jest, but there’s a kernel of truth in it. It’s a lighthearted forum and we can all swap views in a positive and humorous way. You certainly don’t need my validation (nobody does), but I’d recommend a breath of fresh air and a walk before buying the £18.5k 1963 jazz bass.

Good movie that, though not as good as 2. Thanks Stubbs - I wondered how I would recognise @neepheid at the bash.

There’s no rights or wrongs on this stuff, just opinion 👍

Really? You don't go to a show to sell 12. He'd do that on reputation alone. He also says in the video that this is the production model. What's you basis for this?
