  1. Past hour
  2. Sold a couple of bits to Paul, aka @Shepster8316. Amazing to deal with, instant payment and great comms. Deal with complete confidence. 👍👌
  3. No, there have been battles for “control” over the last 2 years. They’ve all been in a band together before I came in. I write most of the ideas and then they’re developed… Singer and Drummer have asked that we carry on without them and I’m in with that. But I think the main error was allowing the guitarist to mix the album. He wasn’t asked to, he just sort of started doing it. And the old “my precious” stuff kicked in. So, listen - I’m not being threatened, can’t be arsed with that. I said my piece and I’ve walked. Played with a new band on Monday, might keep that going while working with singer and drummer on new stuff… Or just help that band cross the line at a gig next month and refocus on my stuff with Drummer and Singer…
  4. @Geek99 Thanks, that's perfect, but I can't seem to download it..
  5. What Hodge said above
  6. Sold my Phase pedal to Justin, aka @juice. Pleasure to deal with - superb buyer. 👍👌
  7. Is the EQ section passive? The way the numbers are arranged on the controls would suggest it is.
  8. A Sire V7 is still the best value gigging bass out there IMO, very versatile instruments. Good low B on the 5 strings as well.
  9. It is, but what I found was that I could flit between the two without fiddling around. A jazz style bass can get close with bass / para mid/treble
  10. That’s defintely achievable on a jazz bass. My references are Sean Hurley/ James Jamerson/ rocco prestia which are a bit tougher to replicate on a Jazz.
  11. If you’re a fan of this circuit you should also check out the Prunes & Custard!
  12. Jeez, that's ridiculous.... Is there no chance of a reconciliation after a cool-down period, Andy?
  13. There's a common link here in your stories...
  14. Maybe, it’s currently fighting for it’s life against the Anagram
  15. Fresh one… After 8 months, the self produced and recorded album is ready. We played a gig on Friday, all good. A well known local producer likes what we’ve played at the gig, offers to mix a track for us. We said, “no the guitarist has done a great job and we’re happy” ”I’ll do it for nowt, see what you think?” Suggestion is put to the band. On Saturday. Guitarist initially says “fine by me” I said I don’t see the point - but we did “spare tracks” why not send that guy one and see what he does with it; it’s free. conversation continues via WhatsApp. Keys player (guitarists wife) then says we’re being really unfair/unreasonable getting someone to remix the album after guitarist has put loads of hours in. I agree with the sentiment, but reiterated that it’s one track - not the album. Anyhow, guitarist says I “deserve a smack” - for effectively agreeing with his wife… and all hell breaks loose. no more band. Brilliant.
  16. I use Google for this kind of thing https://basles.be/transcriptions.php?i=909 👍
  17. Are you able to attend either the SW or SE Bass Bashes? I'm holding back from asking questions or providing solutions without having seen/played the bass. I have a Euro LX 5 that has those pickups and an LHZ-03 and it's perfect. I understand that there were some faulty pickups out there at some point and that there's nothing wrong with the design of the pickups, just some mis-builds.
  18. Short scale bass is like a children’s toy isn’t it? 😂
  19. I found one that's fits the TS100 anyway if you want it sticking in the post although the TS101 does look different, my TS100 has a little hex screw holding the tip in.
  20. Just picked this up, thanks I havent really pushed it to be honest but will give that a try
  21. That really is very nice! Enjoy retirement too.
  22. Impending retirement means that I need to de-clutter, beginning with some of my beloved basses. A Beautiful bass bought from here in 24, with a great sound, which I am just not using much. It is the real deal with gorgeous looks and construction in my honest opinion. Someone out there will love it. It is also loud enough to practice with without an amp IMHO! Happy to post as it comes with a generic hard case that fits archtop basses "The Gretsch G5442BDC Electromatic Hollow Body Short Scale bass guitar has a comfortably short scale at 30.25", and is armed with two powerful "Black Top" Filter'Tron™ bass pickups, giving it an electrifying deep-end voice and identity. The double-cutaway hollow and bound body offers full bass tone and balance, and is finished in Transparent Red." Note: I have been asked about neck dive, just in case you are worried about that this is my answer. "I can't say that it has bothered me,. Being an true hollow body/archtop It is very light and hangs horizontally, but it feels normal to rest my right arm on the body, which pushes the neck upwards to a comfortable, natural playing position. It also feels good sitting down. I imagine that the longer scale Gretsch hollows may have serious neck dive". G5442BDC Spec sheet.pdf

  23. Hello, Very cool little Boss modeller for sale. Sounds great but I'm just not a modelling guy, I'm admitting defeat---I just don't enjoy the process, as good as the results can be. Boxed, also comes with additional Bright Onion switch. £350 delivered please. Would consider trades for bass gear - amps, basses (J flavoured), whatever... In good condition, a few scratches on the bottom as pictured. Album with lots of photos here: https://imgur.com/a/9pniK6g
