  2. Tiny overdrive, particularly good at low gain thick bass overdrive tones that retain the low end. Very small consumption (manual says 6 mA) and according to Mooer: "very small and exquisite" 😄 It also says, about its 2-mode operation: *HP: High peak mode, boost up the bottomend, when increasing distortion by Drive knob, you will get more volume and a slight increase in high-mid range (around 3.5KHz) *LP: Low peak mode, color up extreme little to the original sound, very nice for clean boosting The pedal is in excellent condition. Price includes delivery (UK).
  3. Up for sale is my BH250. Bought from here some time ago for home use and backup. It's been great paired up with my Epifani 110. Fair condition and comes with a Gator carry bag. Price includes UK postage.
  4. Bass Big Muff, very good condition, just a bit dusty.
  5. Bought this corvette as a back up ….just couldn’t fall for the post box red so I was going to move it on ..it did play and sound awesome ..so I spent Sunday morning stripping it back and waxing it Jacobean oak ..literally cost me my time and that’s it ..looks like it was originally antique tobacco it’s as ash wood and think I’ve been quite lucky with the grain ..🤟

  6. Mine weighs at around 3.9kgs, I took it to a wedding gig in Grantham this weekend and survided a 30 song setlist with no shoulder pain. I've mostly used the P or the J tone only which covered most of my needs. I love the feel of the neck of this thing, rounded on the edges, not too chunky not too thin. I played comfortably on that 2 sets we played. I tend to roll of the tone knob a tad, it's the sweet spot for me. I bought the instrument from BassDirect without having tried any Dingwalls at all! Sure it is expensive as some people say for an Indonesian made instrument, but I've no regrets. Also like what they did to the pickguard holes on the knob and jack. Just remove the screws and no need to remove any washers on the knob and jack. Now, I'm just looking forward to put more miles on this instrument!
  7. I have 2x very early 210s, If memory serves they are serial numbers 9 and 10. Alex sent me the labels after I got the cabs, and I put them on myself. Mine had really bad Tolex peel issues around the access panel on the back and had to take them back to Alex twice. After the second time, I have not had any issues since. When I was a kid I had my own issues with being a bit addicted to peeling wallpaper in my bedroom. The old woodchip had started to come away in places, and I would pull on it. I don't know how I thought my parents would ever not notice the ever-growing patch of bare wall next to my bed, but I just had to keep pulling at it. I wonder if this is what happened here......

  10. Just bought a A&H mixer from Donald. Brilliant transaction! It came next day delivery complete with original packaging, cable and manual. Excellent comms and a great guy to deal with. He couldn't have been more helpful, a real credit to Basschat. Thanks Donald
  11. Well, on fretless, it jolly well does. 🍿🍿
  12. Carlsbro don’t make beer, but if they did you’d pour it down the drain.
  13. This is an incredible phaser and there is probably a very, very small number in the UK and likely Europe!
  14. I had a bass made for me a few years ago (still my main bass), but apart from that, I've never bought a new instrument - but this one ticks a lot of boxes for me. I won't get a chance to try one, unless Guitar Guitar decide to stock them in Edinburgh, but even then, I'd prefer to buy from Bass Direct. So thinking sensibly, how has the weight been on the ones people have tried or bought? Would it benefit from a preamp or is it versatile enough as-is? What colour is the best, I don't really like the sunburst, but the rest are all lovely.
  15. Got some good pics from Fuel on Saturday!
  16. I think of Guy Pratt on a Jazz when i think of Disco (Sophie Ellis Bextor) Intro by Alan Braxe, Fred Falke is a really favourite of mine. Theres a guy who does a cover on a Jazz bass and absolutly kills it
  17. The simple 'work-around' would be to not touch the Master volume after the FOH levels have been set. Not so much different as turning up the bass volume after having the FOH set. Why would anyone want/need to do this, anyway, once the sound-check is over..? If turning it up affects the FOH, the sound person will presumably just turn it back down, no..?
  18. Selling off my Jet Tele-style guitar. As far as I know, this is completely stock. These come from the factory with Alnico V pickups, through body stringing and locking tuners - all upgrades over the stock JT-300. One small but somewhat insignificant defect with it is that the control plate doesn't quite line up with the routing underneath, creating a small gap which is about half a millimetre wide. I personally didn't notice it until it was pointed out to me. Otherwise this is a fantastic guitar, with a really comfortable roasted maple neck and good sounding pickups, and I have happily gifted it two or three times. Only selling as I am no longer playing guitar in this band, and have half a dozen other guitars (including some other Telecasters), and want to cut down on gear before an upcoming house move. Collection only from Birmingham/Solihull (Near Brum airport) or can meet nearby. Would entertain trades involving a P-style Bass coming my way, and some cash going either way. It's on Reverb for £165 but for folk of this parish I will say £150. Any questions, please drop me a message Pictures are here: https://imgur.com/a/jet-jt-350-fs-e1o8R9Y
  19. Custom made 6U rack in a fetching blue colour (always had blue cases 'cos all the others backstage were black!). 300mm from front rack strip to the rear one. Doors front and back and I added wheels (two of which are braked) to the rear door. New bolts and captive nuts will be supplied when sold. Excellent case that has done sterling service over the years. Open to offers if the price is a bit steep (although I don't think so personally). Collection is definitely preferred, but I am happy to meet up somewhere reasonable (or somewhere in the Med if you're paying).

  21. These are brilliant, agreed.
  22. Work around round 2: install a switch to cut out the speaker.
  23. Superb jazz inspired bass with a modern take, nut width feels closer to a Precision but neck not as thick. Fitted with my preferred 35-95 Rotos with a low action, no unwanted fret buzz it really plays and sounds great. I have two and have decided to let one go. Its obviously been played over its 24 years so has some tarnishing, dings and scratches none of which affect functionality, really sad to see it go but letting stuff go to get a mortgage deposit going. Year – 2001 Body Finish – Gloss Black Body Wood – Alder Neck Finish – Satin Neck Wood – Maple Fretboard – Rosewood Frets – 21 Scale Length – 34” Weight – 10lbs/4.5kgs Electronics – Active Controls - V/V/T Pickups – x2 PRS High Inductance Hardcase – PRS Hardcase This is a USA made PRS, not a far eastern made bass. This is the Electric Bass line that was produced in Maryland, USA between 2000 & 2005. They made approximately 650 in total according to the PRS Serial number database Based in High Wycombe, J5 M40

  24. Warwick Rockcase pedal board flight case separately for £30 which fits it perfectly 61x15x42cm. Few small scuffs on the outside but really solid and tidy inside. Collection from Downend in Bristol or postage at buyers cost and risk
  25. Super cab, quite unbelievable sound for its size and weight. Great condition, bought from this forum early last year, toured with a few times and always a revelation. Only selling because i'm moving away and don't have the capacity to bring things like this with me. Comes with a Auralex isolation board thrown in. Collection only.
  26. The way I've dealt with a tuner made for a narrower hole than what I've got was by wrapping a few turns of masking tape around the tuner bit. Just until it fits snugly. The screws will ensure it stays solid. It's been ok for quite a few years now.
