I have at least 4 Comfort Strapps, short for the Spectors and medium for everything else. I've just ordered a Harvest antique looking strap because 'I want and I can'. Not because I need it. It'll be a 'special' strap for the NS5. Price better than the US straps generally too. Not 4" wide but I suspect a 4" strap might dig into my neck anyway. Really nice strap but ive gone back to using a plain old Ernie Ball Nylon strap. I found the Levy one to have too much grip on my jacket/shirt and it just felt a bit restricting. They do have some stretch in the doubled elastic webbing stitched to the neoprene pad but I can't get any bounce, just the correct amount of 'shock absorption'. I did own an Overwater strap for a short while and it wasn't for me. That had a piece of elastic webbing on the front between the pad and the bass and the bass neck nodded up and down nicely. No good for me as I like to let go of the neck and then find it where I left it 3 nanoseconds later without looking. Any effort spent controlling the bounce or nodding headstock is wasted for me. I use off the peg 4inch wide leather ones from my high street music shop. They are very comfortable and spread the weight, avoiding the aching upper arm problem I had before. Bernie has a few in at the moment along with the gig bags so anybody near Brighton could pop in for a look if you wanted. The only problem is, is that I'm looking for a Harvest strap in white... and they don't do them For my other basses, the standard array of harvest straps are the bollox.
