  1. Cheers for the tag, I somehow missed this?! It’s a beast for sure but I already have this finish, so I should probably be sensible! if anyone has a fretless or a rosewood fretboard variation though, that’ll be a different story!

  4. Yeah I had an epiphone guitar with a broken off headstock… I just glued it with gorilla wood glue and then spray painted the headstock. It’s held for 3 years so far. This is repairable for sure… and if I was closer I’d be knocking on your door!
  5. Only at low volume individually just to check they were working, but once I find another speaker lead I’ll see how they are as a stack
  6. That was quick! Cheers guys, do you know what I’m pretty sure I disappeared down that rabbit hole a few years back, reading people’s build diaries etc… no idea how I forget about it!? Must have been one of the different designs, but still… you’d think I’d have remembered something. As soon as I saw the name I was like “wait… oooohhhhh yeahhhh!!!” Is that Bass head logo an actual trace thing then?
  7. Has anyone seen these before, or come across the logo anywhere? Unsurprisingly a Google search of ‘Bass Head’ doesn’t come up with anything useful! I originally thought these were PA bass bins or something but went to pick them up, local to me, and they’re 10” speakers, one cab has feet the other had castors (suggesting they were stacked) they’re plywood constructed, very well made and the inside is lined with foam/wadding. Eminence beta 10a speakers, neutrik speakon sockets… I haven’t checked what the horns are. I guess it could be a well made DIY thing but I thought I’d ask in case anyone knew. They could obviously be more PA/DJ related but the fact I picked them up with a bass combo and a random Trace Elliot foot switch made me think bass
  8. Ahhh of course, that makes sense… well, no it doesn’t, none of it does but you know what I mean. yeah I originally looked at it like; “I wonder if I could salvage the parts”… but actually, I’d rather not get involved.
  9. I’m not sure, I figured it was an attempt to stop that wandering g string (my new band name) but yeah it may be even weirder than that… perhaps the only way to truly know is to buy it!
  10. Uke bass I admire the ‘have a go/DIY’ attitude of this nearly as much as the idea that someone will pay money for it.
  11. I feel like I’ve seen this one before, (maybe not in this classy finish?!?) but it’s worth sharing again for sure. Stand out from the crowd! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225022596022?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=51TubJQGTbK&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=grgAUcadT-W&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  12. very much agree with all this! One of my favourite amps ever GLWTS!
  13. Easy and pleasant transaction with Vin, first class communication throughout, seriously well packaged and a bargain! thanks very much!
  14. you see this is what will end up making me buy one! I dismissed it when I realised that although I just love octave pedals in general, that the OC-2 is still my favourite, no matter how many I buy! I’ve never owned the OC-3 or OC-5 though so perhaps the latter could be worth a try Trouble is I’ve ended up in a weird obsessive quest to try every clone of the oc2, I have no idea why!?
  15. well that’s no fun, I was genuinely interested to see if something like this would sell. I remember seeing Michael Anthony in Bassist magazine many moons ago with his… it’s certainly not a bass you forget! to be honest it’s the only reason I remember his name!!
  16. yeah, I mean he did say in the listing that it just “hangs on my wall as an ornament” - maybe that’s the best place for it!
  17. There’s one On EBay if anyone is interested? I’m not cool enough to pull it off… but perhaps you are!?
  18. Sad to have to move it on, but good choice on the renown! I very nearly bought one of those a few years back but and ti the realisation I’d always wanted a decent yamaha kit, so it was time to just get one!
  19. These are awesome basses, and this one has already had the weakest bit upgraded! If I didn’t already have one in this finish, I’d be tempted for a second one!
  20. love it, great looking kit for sure! I have an old premier kit my Dad learned on, he gave it to me to learn on when I was a teenager… I’ll hang on to it in the hope one of my kids likes the idea of drumming and I can pass it down to them
  21. yeah I had that one too but then got a Marshall Guv’nor (which it’s meant to be a clone of) so I sold it
  22. I’ve owned the Fab Tone too… it is insane. I was expecting some vintage light overdrive by the look of it… but woah!
  23. Yep, I’ve owned a few of these over the years, sold them each time due to lack of use… I tried other pedals but eventually just gave up and decided chorus wasn’t for me. Then recently I got another in a job lot of pedals and gave it a quick try, search over, this is what I was looking for in a chorus pedal after all! Chorus still isn’t my favourite effect but if/when I need it, I’ll be using one of these for sure
  24. At one point I owned a silly amount and would frequently lend things to friends and family members, just to get them out of the way! I think that’s when I realised it was getting out of hand
