another satisfied customer. dave was very helpful with all my (stooopid) questions and insured i got exactly what i was after. the cables are all great quality and arrived just a couple days after ordering. awesome
4. so shockwave, now that you've had it a while whats the overall verdict? (what i'm basicaly asking here is should i stop drooling over the pictures of yours and just buy one myself?!?)
5. agreed i've had one for about 6 years now and its been a very solid, reliable workhorse of an amp. Pretty versatile and easy to get a lot of very usable sounds out of it... and for that kind of money it'd be rude not to buy it!
6.
Ian - Do you know how much Postage will likely be? Cheers
i pm'd him yesterday and asked he said about £15
7. yeah yeah yeah, its beautiful, congratulations... so whats the catch? does it look like it was made by a blind guy with no hands when you inspect it closely? there's gotta be a catch. read on another thread someone saying it has that 'cheapo' feeling and the pickup sounds awful...
8. yep bought a pack of 3 a month or two ago... they're ok sounding but they're way rougher on the fingers than any other nickel set i've tried, feel more like steel ones, so its back to elites for me!
9.
I'm trying to decide between getting a rackbag, or getting a hard case. I don't gig (yet...) so will just be for rehearsal. Obviously the hard case will look after the equipment a bit better - but its not like it will be thrown in the back of a van, so does it matter? FWIW I'm looking at an LD Systems bag or a Gator shallow case both in a 6u size.
rack bags are a lil easier to lug around and they do protect your stuff well, however be careful with the zips! i've just completely knackered mine so i either take the zip off and sew on a new one (yeah cuz i'm great at sewing...) or buy a new rack bag! then again i've seen enough hard rack cases that have the doors hanging off cuz the catches have broken...
10. couldn't get on with the slab body! it's a great bass and sounds immense but i've been playing a tobias toby pro for the last 6/7 years which has a really small body and is contoured so it just felt really bulky. i probably woulda gotten used to it but a friend of mine took an interest in it and waved the cash in front of me so i went for it... now i'll get back to the search for another tobias until the next shiny thing catches my eye!
11. B-U-M-P open to offers or trades?!? (for what i don't know!) this needs to go as i just sold the bass to a friend! so i'll put it on ebay in a week or so if no-ones interested here...
12. this came with the musicman sub 4 string i bought from bassmankev it looks pretty sweet on the bass as you can see from the pic but its a little fancy for me i think so i'll just stick with the plain ol' black one... was gonna keep it and swap over every now and then for a change but i don't think i'll ever get round to it i asked kev how much he thought i should be expecting for it he said about £30... PM me with offers if you're interested

15. i use a plastic dunlop thingamy (with blu-tak inside so it doesn't come apart!) on the strap button on the horn, and one grolsch thingy with a plastic dunlop fella on top on the other.... why? the grolsch thing kept unwinding the screw on the horn (guess cuz i throw my bass around my head alot) anyone else find that to be a problem? on the other end i found the plastic dunlop unwound itself and kept popping off... so i put the grolsch thing on as well... doesn't happen with the grolsch underneath cuz it cant move enough to come undone. a little OTT and very much bodged, but it seems to work!
