1.
Nik bought my Aria Pro II RSB fretless.
and then i bought it from him! he is indeed a star, kept me updated the whole way through, offered up different options of postage and packing. a thoroughly easy and pleasant transaction really. thanks, matt
 2.
Additional - I'll take those Schallers off you if they are 1: no good and 2: chrome
nah sorry they're black, they'll be making an appearance in the for sale section soon i think
 3. cheers all, looks like something i'll have to put a little more thought into, thanks for all your pointers.
 4. been searching through the posts about this but can't seem to find the info i need, i'm probably looking in the wrong place... i bought some schaller M4's to replace the cheap korean tuners in one of my basses but the holes in the headstock are too wide for a snug fit, so i checked other basses and its the same story. what is/is there a standard size for shaft width on a bass tuner? can someone explain to me how it works? i read on a post i found that i could use the schaller's and fill the gap around them with something but i'd rather not, i'd rather just get a different brand of good quality tuner. also the screw is in the wrong place on schallers (off to one side) compared to the ones i'm replacing (below), didn't realise it was gonna be this complicated!
 5.
Bloody GAS
ewww, you should probably see a doctor about that sorry... couldn't resist
 6.
I know what you peavey T-40 nutters are like so here's one on the bay, it's a bit scratched up but it's cheap right now. Considering it's been up two days now and it's so cheap i'd have thought you guys would have been all over it like flies on sh*t by now
cheers for the heads up, didn't see it cuz i usually search 't-40' and the way he's written the title means it doesn't come up. i'll keep an eye on that, nice one!
 7. i very nearly bought an acoustic guitar from these guys a couple of years ago because they were cheaper than anywhere else but when i went to pay it all got a bit confusing - basically when they took the payment they took it in two instalments a percentage (deposit?) there and then when i placed the order and then i guess they planned to take the rest of the fee when the item was despatched... my bank stopped the second payment and wrote to me saying there was odd account activity. so i tried using my girlfriends card (different bank) but had the same problem after a couple of weeks of messing about i bought it from somewhere in the uk for a little more. so not sure if that helps but its something to look out for, maybe that's a standard thing and I'm just a fool, or perhaps someone knows a way around these things? or maybe they've changed their policy in the last 2 years? who knows! but if you do order don't panic if your bank tells you about any strange account activity. both deposits were refunded, there was nothing dodgy going on.

 13.
yeah I've used fast fret (and continue to do so) although I remember there was one specific one that applied a polymer coating (or whatever it was) and made the strings a bit like elixirs
DR Extra Stringlife - Liquid polymer coating thats it from my local shop... probably a bit cheaper elsewhere... i've got one somewhere never really used it, i usually just stick with fast fret

 21.
I love that Toby Pro 4. Just one thing, though... Why did you stick that horrible pick holder to the front? Won't the glue mark the finish?
nah its only stuck on with blu-tak!
 22.
A pity, this. I'll give it to the end of the week & after that it's Ebay. It deserves better. J.
agreed. this is almost exactly what i'm after... except the colour... i know i said that about the grendel i bought off this very forum, but can i really have two red basses when i didn't even want one?! can i?!
 23. i was gonna buy them! darn it, i was a little worried about filling the gaps left but looking at it i reckon it would look cool with the black plastic surrounds you get on some pickups (gibson etc) no idea where you'd get the right size thing though... hmmm
 24.
I used to have a Toby 4 - great bass, regret selling it. If anyone sees one with a Darth Vader hologram sticker on the headstock, drop me a line (reward offered)
he he, yeah i'll keep an eye out, there'll soon be another one gracing this thread cuz i bought the one that was kicking around in the for sale section. tis a (very cheap) beauty to be sure...
