I have taken the brave decision to launch a new print and digital bass magazine for the UK market.

I've been publishing magazines in my day job for 27 years and think it's terrible that we don't have a dedicated magazine anymore.

We launch the mag officially at the Birmingham Bass & Guitar Show next month where we will have a small stand and giving away a sample issue (while stocks last) - we will then publish quarterly moving forward. Editor is Joel McIver who ran Bass Guitar magazine and then Bass Player so no cheap AI generated content here!

Website is here

You can subscribe via the website - our socials launch on Monday.

If you are at the show next month come and say hello - be nice to put faces to names. The cover of our sample issue is here for your thoughts and comments.

Nice, i do like a print mag over a pdf so i'll pick this up (that's if all my local newsagents haven't all shut up shop....) btw Is this monthly/BI/Quarterly ? i checked the subs on the webpage but it only shows years sub prices & nothing about the amount of issues per year?

Interested. Can't be at Birmingham so will wait for the first couple of issues to hit the stands.

We will only be selling via a direct subscription model (print and/or digital) too niche a market to get any meaningful newstrade distribution I'm afraid.

It is a quarterly - I will get the info on the subs page updated to make it a little more clearer.

Does that mean I won't be able to read it for free in WH Smiths?😯

I will come and find you, very good news indeed. Come and stop by my stand Vintage Bass Room for a chat, I know @AndyTravis will be there and a few others too

£6.95 delivered? Seems very reasonable! Loads of the specialist magazines (not those sort) in Smith’s are £9.99.

Good for you for filling a gap and taking a risk. I’ll sign up!

I’ve just tried to sign up and after entering bank details I get this message and it takes me back to the previous page. Details are correct? I’ll try from laptop in a bit.

I had that but it seems to work from phone or at least I think it did.

The next page is a bit confusing and made me think it didn't work.

Many thanks for going "old school". I still love reading magazines rather than online threads.

For me this takes me back to when our only way of finding out about basses and gear was to read reviews in mags.

I used to collect them, keep them and use for reference when i fancied another bass.

I had a few subscriptions to motorcycle mags but they went all online. I've never read any since. Its just not the same as having a mag in your hand.

Such a great idea and wish you all the very best with it.
