I think it was built by @Jabba_the_gut.

I saw the Facebook post and instantly thought that's a @Jabba_the_gut bass, then the post disappeared as they do on Facebook. 

The 'R' logo is definitely his, and his work is exceptional.

I have a short scale (smaller than 30") which was built by Jabba. I didn't order or commission it - I got it used, on the marketplace on this forum.

 

The bass is a thing of beauty. It's a really well crafted instrument of very high quality indeed. @Jabba_the_gut's work is of a consistently high level of quality when I see his builds on here.

I own a Rob Allen and took it to a bass bash, where Jabba had some of his creations. They were at least on a par with Mr Allen’s work, I was really impressed.

Indeed, I did make that Telebass a while back!!

Thanks all for the kind words about the basses I’ve built. I’ve not built anything for a while but am starting to finish off projects, including the fretted twin to Franks semi hollow bass. Pictures will be posted in the  build diaries.

Now that's the best news I've heard since I got the fretless semi-hollow bass.
