kwmlondon Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Here's my list A decent PSU (likely, if I see one cheap - my Darkglass ADAM is noisy and fenickety) Cheap but good gig bag (again, keeping an eye out on Facebook marketplace - it's a pretty safe buy so if I see one at a good price I'll take a punt) A 2x10" cab. I had a lovely GK 2x10" and loved the sound (I don't really need one as I've got a MarkBass NY121 that's fine, but I'm suceptible and if one I like the look of turns up near me at a good price I could be tempted) Rickenabacker 5 String. They only made these for a while and I've just lusted after one ever since. In walnut. They don't come up often so it's not a temptation I have to resist very hard. Full-on HUGE valve rig e.g. Ampeg SVT and 8x10" or Boogie 400+ with the 1x15" and Powerhouse 1000. Utterly unrealistic as I have absolutely nowhere to put them or situation I could play them but blimey do I have a lust for one... Quote
Dad3353 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Peace and harmony for everyone on the planet. Peace of mind; I've not been too much of a burden to the planet. Piece of Christmas pudding this year with the family, lit up by blue brandy flames. Piece of my birthday cake when I reach 100 (coming up faster than one thinks as a teenager...). Piss as I did when I was a teenager. 3 4 Quote

Piss as I did when I was a teenager. I hear people complaining of getting old. After the last few years I realise what a privilige it is to be able to get older having lost people long, long before their time. 3 Quote

May be a while before one crops up on Facebook Marketplace for cheap... Quote

chris_b Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I have all the gear I want/need. . . . but if money was no object I'd ask Santa for a couple of Roadies. 2 Quote
Rich Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago My list to Santa remains as unrealistic as ever: Wal Mk2/Mk3 5-string Yamaha TRB-5P 1965 Fender Jazz... ...or a Limelight replica 2 Quote

Somone got their local luthier to make a new body for a Dingwall neck so it could take a pair of those mulitipole pickups and then fitted with a Luthisand preamp. Now THAT I'd like to try. 2 - TRB5P - they come up sometimes for not silly money and I think they're gorgous, but I'd like to try one rather than own. 3. Vintage Jazz? I tried a '74 one in the Bass Gallery that was very seductive and under £3k so not outrageous... but not realistic either I don't know much about Limelight basses. Best not to. Just another thing to dream about... 1 Quote

It was on my list and it's already arrived, though I'm not allowed to touch it for fear of eternal banishment to the naughty list. A Trace Elliot AH300 GP12 with 15" and 2x10" cabinets. It is sat in the corner of my practice room under a sheet and with just the occasional creak of the floor joists settling. 3 Quote

Ed_S Posted 36 minutes ago Posted 36 minutes ago I don't do xmas, but if I did... 1. A Peavey Super Festival 1200 reissue head 2. A Masterbuilt Warwick Vampyre 5 3. A Peavey Firebass head - the red and black one which I always loved the look of in Sound Control, but was never daft enough to actually buy due to the weight. 4. A gigbag where the side handle is placed such that, when it's loaded with stuff and you pick it up, it hangs level with the floor rather than being angled upwards. 5. A gigbag like #4 but mirrored so that when you have a pair of them, you can attach them together back-to-back and pick them up comfortably with both their handles. Quote
