I was wondering when these new Classic Vibe models were going to make their apparition on here. I have wanted a tele bass with wide range pickups for quite a while - and managed to get a Fender Modern Player one only a month ago or so. 🤷 ( those with 2 pickups)

I've always liked the Telecaster Bass design. Pity I would never use it in anger, as I love the Mocha finish.

How does that type of Fender pickup compare to a Gibson mudbucker?

I played a 70’s SG bass in Wye Fret a couple of weeks ago and now I want a mudbucker bass!

I've got a Vintera Telecaster Bass and it's a hard pickup to define. It's not overly muddy, certainly has more focus to it than my old EB-3, but it's not as articulate as a P Bass. It drives my amp with very little effort. "Built for power, not for speed" is how I saw them described once.
