funkle Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Hmm. That’s such an endorsement I’m considering trying a Goodwood out. I wouldn’t mind going even smaller for my gigs. I’ve never run out of steam with the Silverstone…hmm 3 Quote

Your opinion/advice was key to me getting my LFSys cab, and every time I use it I have a smile on my face 1 1 Quote
funkle Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Ah, you’re too kind @eude . I’ll try to live up to that kindness. The Monzo I tried was excellent. I didn’t buy then as I couldn’t quite justify having 2 cabs both doing basically the same job for me and I didn’t want to sell my Silverstone. (Serial #1, I am proud of that…) The Goodwood is tempting me though. I wonder if I could use it to busk with if I rig up some kind of battery powered amp solution. I use the Everse EV8 for that presently, but it does compress hard when I push it. It also is a bit shoutier if I push it hard. Very portable though. But a plastic cab never sounds the same as properly braced wooden bass cabinet. 1 Quote

I think a pure FRFR cab can be a little too HiFi, but I think there's consideration built into the LFSys cabs to stop them sounding harsh? Correct me if I'm wrong @stevie... Quote
Pea Turgh Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I think harsh is just not proper FRFR. These sound just… quality. 1 Quote
