horrorshowbass Posted Friday at 13:30 Posted Friday at 13:30 Prices of Z series are still pretty high but lovely basses Quote

A Z3 is only £399 new. The only SBMM which comes close to matching its spec is a Ray34, and that's £999, and you still won't get an 18V preamp, passive mode, a 22nd fret or mega rolled fingerboard edges. (Using Andertons for both prices) But I guess £399 is a lot if you don't have it, but you didn't really specify what the metrics were... Edited Friday at 14:08 by neepheid Quote
TRBboy Posted Saturday at 22:54 Posted Saturday at 22:54 Ooooh, I do like the look of the P6 5 string in black 😍🤌 I'd prefer passive though... Quote
crazycloud Posted Sunday at 04:01 Posted Sunday at 04:01 I'm still waiting to see how the M6-6 comes out. The P6-5 above is a neat looking instrument, for an FSO. Quote
TheLowDown Posted Sunday at 11:05 Posted Sunday at 11:05 The P6 series is looking tempting, but the Z series are far too heavy. Quote

neepheid Posted Sunday at 12:08 Author Posted Sunday at 12:08 (edited) Well my Z7 (solid finish so not ash, CBA looking up what it is got back to the computer, it's alder) is 9 and a half pounds, and I don't consider that to be particularly heavy. Edited Sunday at 12:46 by neepheid 2 Quote

Fair enough, was looking at the higher end Z7 5 strings around 700 euros on reverb. Quote
