Thanks for the welcome, Yes it was, I don't think the guy knew what he had, It was up for £150 and I offered £130 I couldn't believe it when he said yes ok. I must admit, if I needed to switch to short scale.... I'd be sorely tempted by one of those. Let us know how you're getting on. Learn to play the instrument you have, and in a year or so you will have an idea of what else you might like to try. For example I assumed I would prefer narrow necks, but the bass I play is nicknamed "Queen Elizabeth" as you could land an aircraft on the fretboard.
