He used to run a rehearsal studio in Stockport that I used a few years ago. Confusingly, the other guy he ran it with was also called Richard! Both were good guys and the guy who used to work for Mars was always working on / selling some cool guitars, not to mention had some interesting stories to tell...! Yes, that's him 2 Quote

I was looking at a straight swap on a guitar I have here, but I think I'm going to let this one go, not because it's not a nice bass, but mainly because the guitar I have here is worth quite a lot of money and I would want an all original bass if I were going to trade it. If anyone wants to message me, I do know the cash price for quick sale. Rob 2 Quote

That’s the fella - He brokered a sale for a vintage amp I was selling, and was a pleasure to deal with as well as being a bit of a character. He plays guitar in a punky kind of band, and likes a Les Paul Junior so must be okay. 😁 1 Quote

That year I bought a nice condition all original 1973 Olympic White Fender Strat in the original case from Rich in the shop, for the princely sum of £225. We've done countless deals since, and he introduced me to Joe Bonamassa in 2015 when we hung out at a studio in London for a day with him before the Royal Albert Hall show. Joe put me and my wife on the guest list for a show in Leeds subsequently. 2 Quote

Me and the guitar player (who used to have a guitar shop in those days) always used to have a chat with him after rehearsals. He always had an interesting story to tell and I remember his quite fascinating insider take on quite a controversial matter of the time that he had been innocently caught up in. Very much a Les Paul Junior type of guy! 🤩 1 Quote
