I am moving very close to that location on the 14th of sep so would like to come having never attended one before, however is it essential to bring gear? I will not have a bass rig as I will have sold my old stuff (hopefully) but am waiting on delivery of barefaced cab and i doubt it will be here by the 21st of sep so likely to only bring a bass or two / amp. is that okay?

Yes, it would be good to have some idea of the masterclasses that have finally been agreed on, and of the special guests, if any.
We are working hard so that the Basschat Relay Baton visits the Bash as a guest ( ), together with James himself if at all possible.

last year was some accident around J9/10(?) iirc - i was on M26 and heard the traffic news (3 hour queues) just in time to turn off so that i didnt have to do the 18 mile stretch to the next junction

Hola peeps - I've agreed to do a technique workshop but rather than me doing lots of noodly playing - which I'm happy to do I want it to be more open ended with anyone who has a question on technique basically asking 'how do you do that?' and hopefully me supplying an answer - my specialty is finger picking techniques and some slap stuff but we can look at fingerboard / scale stuff too and maybe a little bit of theory etc - but like I say I'd much rather get you guys to ask the question and see if I can provide a solution - I can tap but I don't do sweep arpeggios
