Foam for under micro amp

Can someone point me in the right direction for the best stuff to stand your amp on (a Littlemark) to stop it vibrating to certain notes when it's on top of a cab', please?

I'm thinking maybe something very small, discreet and thin like foam that works much like a Gramma pad to isolate the vibration. My scarf works great, but it looks dick!

I`ve bought a few bits from them, from a liner for the boot of my car, to a liner for my leads/amp case. Very reasonably priced, and good quick service. Think a piece of the acoustic foam should work quite well.

I bought an A4 sheet of foam from eBay. There are two main types available, the spongey stuff sold as camera case foam, or the closed cell foam that's much stiffer. I bought the closed cell type but I think either would do the job just fine.

I've just seen this. Sorry I'm a bit late.
I use a piece of carpet. It's an off-cut from the one we had put in the living room. The LM III sits nice and snug on top and the carpet, although not fixed at all, stays on the cab when the Roqsolid cover goes over the top.
All for free and it seems to work. The cab is a Barefaced BigOne so there are some big rumbles to cope with.
My carpet is a neutral beige (chosen to mask pet sick stains etc) but you could have curry house style patterns or whatever. Even choose a carpet to suit the gig!

You get loads of it on the roll and provided you get the black rather than the yellow, nobody will notice it's there.

What cab is it? Panel resonance is kind of the cab's fault. Barefaced had this issue at one point with micro heads and corrected it.

my problem wasn't the cab resonance, but the carrying handle situated on top of the cab (Barefaced Midget in horizontal mode). made a slit in the polystyrene to allow it space.

also means i can tilt the stack if necessary.

Something like this.

I used 2 pieces of the foam that came protecting my PC tower, cut it to the right size and wrapped it in black plastic sheet.

I did this 20 years ago when I had an all valve amp, to protect it from vibrations. I sold the amp but kept the foam

Those are for when people rely on a big speaker for highs, and they are correspondingly directional. Shouldn't be an issue with the big baby with the small midrange driver.

I use a version of that stand, more like a deck chair, very small when folded, and it angles my 1515L when I need to. Because the cab ends up at 45 degrees or so, I use a folded sheet of that black bobbly mat they sell to stop things sliding off your dashboard. I got about half a square metre for a couple of quid, it gives some vibration relief and stops the amp moving. Very good indeed, I'll get some pics up shortly.

I was wondering whether it would do a similar job to an Auralex Gramma pad, but at 1/3 price.

A couple of sheets of pyramid acoustic foam does the same thing for about a tenth of the price. Not great under very heavy or tall stacks, but under a single cab, it's very effective. And it packs down very small, too.

The stand does a similar thing. For a tenner or so, it's worth a try...
