What a fun day huh, actually I think it was the best one I've been too, just from a personal perspective, found it pretty productive from an 'ideas' point of view. Cheers Shep et al.
Sorry I had to leave at 2pm, had to get back to Bucks to get the van to Southampton....was in at 5am :), only to get up at 9 to go to the London Tattoo Convention. Had my foot tattooed and now I'm hopping everywhere....what a weekend haha.

My BassBash rig:

Particularly good to have Paul the drums there in the jam room and I have to say I was most impressed with Nigel's own drum skills (some wicked off-beat playing, dude! :) ). Not to mention guitar, too! Thanks also for letting me hog your Strat and pedal board for a while for some ethereal madness! We had some interesting stuff going down, along with Alex and Simon really pumping out some serious Barefaced bottom end... :o

It was also good to see Shelley, the one and only female bass player there - and nice that she joined in for some jammin' fun. Hope you enjoyed it. :o

Thanks to Nik and Hamster and their respective missuses(!) for putting it together. Looking forward now to the next one.

Enjoyed it massively thanks Steve! I only wish I'd plucked up the courage to get in to the Jam Room a bit earlier. Many thanks to you, Nigel and Paul the drummer for your help and encouragement and showing me how it is possible to jam on 2 notes. :)

Looking forward to next year, by which time I hope to impress you all with a repetoire of at least 4 notes! :)

The day was fantastic and it was a pleasure to meet such wonderful people, and all for the love of Bass; brilliant :)
Thanks to Jon for the couple or so hours talking about techniques, sound, history, influences, bands...couldn't wish to meet a nicer guy and what a fantastic player; I really did learn an awful lot from you mate thanks very much :)
Jake's Theory and Technique tuition was really very, very good and it's funny how important it is to realise that no matter how much you think you know something, there's always something there to be taken away. (rubbish way of putting it lol)
Colin, as always; pleasure to finally meet your S2, amazing to play and I'm so happy i've finally managed to dispel the feeling that I would never ever consider getting a 5 string bass, I felt the sound from your rig was stunning, put mine to shame imo!

This is my first post and my apologies for not introducing myself on the forum properly, I just haven't had five mins...I want to say thanks to everybody who was there for a lovely day and I hope everyone got home safe...here's to the next one!

I wish I'd brought (or had the space to bring) my Berg IP112 and EX112 stack to compare against some rigs. I used it in anger twice on Sunday and it was fantastic. I asked the FOH team if the rig was too loud and they said 'no, definitely not.... that said, it was VERY loud, but it sounded so good we couldn't bring ourselves to have you turn down' this = winning in my book.

...Next bass bash, it'll come along.

Is that me with the DB? I look bloody ancient and yes, there are some teeth in there somewhere. When your bass looks better than you do it's time to pack up.

Great day tho' and thanks to all.
