2. Will be there on the Saturday. Be good to catch up with people over some mildly over-priced coffee.
 3. Just got my itinerary for Friday - Sunday so looks like I'm not going to be able to make this one sadly!
 4.
I'm a big fat question mark for this......so I won't put myself in the list yet. Mrs out in the morning (so I have Finn), then I have a gig in the evening. We'll see. Si
Same position (minus child-watching duties). Will probably make a choice on the day.
 5. Actually don't think I said if I was going or not, yet. Anyway, I'm there with Aguilar - trying to bag me a 4x10 desperately..
 6.
I've got 3 pieces of advise: 1) Take some ear plugs 2) Ear plugs, definitely take some 3) Don't forget your ear plugs Si
Not sure if Si mentioned this, but definitely don't forget your earplugs.
 7. I'm about to start working with a new artist whom has asked me about using only an acoustic bass - the problem is.. I don't have one. I'm looking at Godin's, however I'm coming up against a brick wall in terms of acquiring one without paying over the odds (or waiting slightly longer than I would like to). What other brands do we think of (in the Godin shape)? I would happily consider other shapes, just quite like how Godin's look and play. Thanks in advance.
 8. Going to have to give this a miss I'm afraid people! Playing the O2 in the evening and load in is 2pm (or earlier) so I'd only be able to stay for an hour or so from 10am. Next time!
 9. Just been told this was going on, not visiting BC regularly due to a hectic lifestyle lol! Will try and show my face, however won't have anything to display as I can almost guarantee I'll need to leave at 1pm for a gig.
 10. Must say in general the volume was a good 50% quieter than last year, however the horn system still meant f/a to any of the abusing stalls. Great day, great equipment, however I was in the market for a vintage 70's on the day and was surprised to see no one had anything..
 11. Not sure if I've already commented on here yet (not been on in ages - ha), but I'll be there Saturday checking out all the lovely bottom end machines! :-)
 12. Rio - Duran Duran. My fingers fell off at the end..
 13.
Steve Howe used to buy an extra ticket so his guitar could sit next to him.
Not sure how the management would take this, haha.
 14. Hello Chaps! Been a long time since I've posted but, it's been a hugely busy year. Anyway, to the purpose of this post: In a month or so, I'm jetting off on tour with an artist called Maxim (piano/electro/dnb stuff). This is the first time I've had to deal with some logistics within a tour, usually the management organise all the flight cases (well they have on previous tours) - so I've decided it's probably best to sort it all out myself. First thing: I've got a 5-string Jazz bass, currently living its life in a Mono case, however there's a huge chance it'll have to go as hold luggage (as we're flying to South Korea & China/Hong Kong), unless someone can advise me on how to get in as carry on guaranteed? Anyway, what's the best hard case that's affordable and extremely durable? Secondly: My pedals - this is the first tour I'll be using ANY pedals on. Can I just use a basic adaptor and get my transformer to do all the work, or do I need to buy a specific transformer for each country? Any other tips etc would be massively handy, all my previous tours have generally involved tour buses from the UK and almost zero planes. Thanks in advance!
 15. I'm there Saturday - looking forward to seeing y'all. :-)
 16. Even if someone asks, sometimes I won't let them. If someone seems trustworthy then by all means I don't mind them using my stuff, but if someone rocks up and seems reckless they won't be using my equipment. If anyone is blowing my amp up, it'll be me, not anyone else. I make sure my amp is usable only by me, secret settings etc. :-)
 17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oi85Ei170-w Can be arranged to any format you like, can even have a bigger horn section, more guitars, backing vocals etc. All members are working session pros with tv, touring experience etc etc. Check this for any other information
 18. Wicked meeting new faces and catching up with old ones.. showed up late and still got to see loads! Super nice day and some really impressive equipment.

 20. Hey All, I've been hectic with artist work and track creation for TV etc, so I've had no time to actually record anything for me. This morning.. I decided to break the habit and record something groovy, bassy, and melodic! Check this out.. let me know what you think! It's a rough mix and I'm going to re-record the bass (with new strings, not 3 week old strings ruined from gigging) and expand it a lot (turn the track into a track.. not a snipit haha). Cheers! 21. Should be able to come - can't confirm it though.. Got a gig in London in the evening.. so an easier commute than normal ha! If I do come it'll be Jazz Bass, P Bass, half my Krampera stack and anything else I acquire for public use between now and then.
 22. I'm a freelance musician with years of playing, touring and MD'ing experience. I can sightread and improvise to a high level, I can also learn songs, sets and arrangements very quickly. I also play guitar, flute, piano and sax - alongside this I can produce, arrange, MD and sort band logistics and finances for management/artist work. Through my years of playing I've played, recorded and gigged with artists such as:

One Direction
Kelly Clarkson
Natasha Bedingfield
Chad Smith
Mike Rutherford
I've also been privileged enough to find myself endorsed by companies such as:

Fodera
Krampera
EBS
Mono
Vintage
I have a professional mindset, professional equipment, I'm never late and I never overstep the mark. If you want to see or hear demos of my playing, check out my site - www.tomkentmusic.co.uk
 23. Recently I've been creating backing tracks to get some extra ££ in - this is my most recent one. (I don't profit from views on instrumentals, only if someone actually buys it). Enjoy!
 24. Through years of performing with high level artists (inc. Kelly Clarkson, One Direction, Chad Smith) I've developed a large knowledge base to teach from. One thing I love to do is bass what I've learnt on, teaching easily allows me to do this. I can teach technique, improvising, slap, fingerstyle.. anything! Want more information? PM me!
