1.
I am thinking of making the trip across the pond to go to the show. I'll stay in my cousins uni flat (oh... joy of joys) in portsmouth, then get a train to london first thing on the saturday morning. Although there is still a question over whether i will be well enough to go or not. Hopefully i will be
It's an absolute trek to get there on time from Portsmouth - you're gonna be knackered before you arrive. I did the trip a couple of years ago.

7. For Sale The time has come to clear some more stuff out before I get some more new, so here's a barely used Vintage EST96AF Active. I used it on one TV appearance but since that it's been sat in my studio. It's got bright pink DR Neons on which will remain on unless the buyer really really doesn't want them haha. 8. Had two mid-week spaces open up as my students are preparing to head to uni!
9. Check it out! I'd been recording for 12 hours before that so my hands were sore! Think it turned out pretty good anyway..
10. Cheers for the replies guys! I had no say on the video edit, we've had tons of a bookings from it though so I can't complain (like a years worth of bookings - I'm having to dep dates out!). I try my up most to be professional for a function band, so if full blacks are required and everyone else is wearing shirts, then I'll be wearing a shirt too. As for the vocalist, as this is a public forum (it'll come up on Google anyway) I won't pass any opinion to stay.. professional'ish! Inbox me for my feelings!
11. I did a workshop last time, think it was too far out of the way for people to get to though. I'm happy enough bringing a giant stack and some basses along!
12. 43 views and no replies?
13. Recorded at a studio in London (I forget which), with 3 hours rehearsal before and 2 hours filming. I was lagging something major by the time we came to filming (had been up since 6am ish and this was 5pm ish). Used a GMR Soundboard 5 NT loaned from the nice guys at GMR because I was going to Wales before I went home and didn't fancy carrying tons of equipment to town with me. Wicked wicked bass! Think I went through a Trace Elliot on the day too..? Enjoy!
14. Hello! Throughout the years of gigging and session'ing I've stumbled on tons of tips to ease learning bass, to help develop you quicker. Currently got a post-production studio based just outside of Portsmouth with lots of geeky gear and basses. I also specialise in being able to teach via the social-platform Skype to people around the UK, Europe and world. I've got tons of qualifications and credits/endorsements behind me - so be assured you'll get professional and perfect lesson no-matter-what. Prices range from £15 for half an hour; for further details check out http://www.tomkentmusic.co.uk/services/tuition/ - I can also travel to you, but you are charged accordingly. Cheers!
15.
Is this with the same place?
As far as I'm aware, yes.
16. I've heard a story somewhat like this not that long ago - they're trying to book an act I play with so this has sorted my opinion of the venue. They're on a 'gigging blacklist' according to the acts management..? Sounds right to me!
17.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ouch
With a comfort strap or decent leather strap it's absolutely fine. If you use cheap Fender ones, I think almost any bass could feel heavy anyway..
