Bassdrobe does it for me, could'nt cope with putting a bass back on a hanger after a few libations and have it pendulum into the backside of the one in front and back, although it would mean hiding acquisitions easier inside a suit...and saying when it's discovered "I wondered where I put that", had it years etc etc
So you get a few nice basses, where do they live? On the wall? No, that's just asking for trouble. In a case? No, they need to be accessible and that would look awful. So what do you do, where do they go?

In the Bassdrobe™, that's where.

Not quite gear porn unless D.I.Y. gets you jolly, but there it is anyway :)
When will these be available from IKEA?

I've done a fair bit of work on the SR recently. Since I got it last year I've swapped the AFR pickups for EMGs, replaced the Vari-Mid preamp with an EMG BTS (vol, blend, bass and treble cut and boost). I feel it's a much better sounding bass now, the mids are much clearer. Also did a fret level, crown and polish, plus I rolled the fretboard edges and set it up to perfection. Plus, I sanded 16 years of crud out of it, then sanded some more, then shellac, then sand, then Danish oil, then wax and the grain really pops now, it looks like this. It's a really nice bass.

and a "before" pic to show what it was like
