I'm a busy gigger, but recently have been increasingly reliant on band members goodwill. I have a herniated disc which places pressure on the nerves running down my left leg, leaving me with a limp at best and relying on a stick at worst. I'm currently awaiting an assessment regarding surgery I also supply all the pa and lighting for my main band. I am incredibly blessed in that I have friends ( non music matesπ) that will help me to load if necessary, and build/ breakdown at the show. In my bands it's always a team effort no matter what goes on. I am incredibly grateful and humbled that people are so happy to help.

Effects SIgnal routing, DIs and the B9
dudewheresmybass replied to Salt on your Bass?'s topic in Effects
I've been running a b9 and c9 on my board for a couple of years now. I go in to the input of the b9 and via the dry out to c9, and then route the bass signal out to the rest of the bass board. From the organ out of each pedal I go to an a/b box and then via a killswitch ( for when I need to mute the keys signal) and then to a di and separate channel in the desk. All I have to do from there is select which keys sound I need for the particular song, and mute / open as necessary. Pit works a dream in situ π Happy to talk via pm if it helpsππ -

Joyo Orange Juice low end loss? (Does it need to go through a blender?)
dudewheresmybass replied to Painy's topic in Effects
Definitely. its also worth considering the caline orange burst. Retails around Β£25 new, and is voiced very similarly. I've picked them up secondhand on fb and eBay for not much more than a tenner! -
Joyo Orange Juice low end loss? (Does it need to go through a blender?)
dudewheresmybass replied to Painy's topic in Effects
Much as Cameronj says. With mine I find the best setting for me involves me using the last third of the voice control in order to keep the large amount of low end I use. Im a p bass guy as well, and once I found the sound in my rig ( Marshall DBS 7400 and 2 cabs ) it has stayed around ππ -
ELO wembley or bust. (Leftie content)
dudewheresmybass replied to oldslapper's topic in General Discussion
Interesting to see that his "board" is powered by the little maplin Β£20 special psu. π -
For me, master of puppets. The playbook on thrash bass, and fuzz tones. The next step from geezer IMO blood sugar sex magik. Consistently great work- some totally leftfield, but consistently tuneful and influential number of the beast. Steve really hits his stride here, the tunes are mostly written on bass and it shows π Control denied. Steve digiorgio really pushing the envelope on fretless playing in an extreme style. Death jazz if you will π Blues brothers ost. A superb intro to duck Dunns playing. Just beautiful. Any of the Oscar Peterson albums with Ray brown on bass. Sublime Who's next. Great arrangements and mind blowing playing
