  1. Failed State territory.
  2. Looks fine…
  3. That's stunning.
  4. Black body. Maple neck. Immense. I always like a contrast between the body and neck. (Why? I have nob idea!)
  5. Do Fender own Charvel? Look very like the Charvel basses minus the J pick up?
  6. These are some of the most consistent and player friendly basses ever. Got a pal (on here) with a black BS version and it sits perfectly balanced on your body and the “neck just knows” where your fingers go.
  7. Pretty close to my journey but must say they really lost something when Hackett left. His shows these days are magical.
  8. Personal view? Go to the last page in the BC for sale page….look at the prices. I got back into playing 2007. From memory, a MIM guitar was about £390 and US around £600 (corrections welcomed.) Now the ratio is similar at £699 to £1600 but wages have not kept pace. So what do you buy? A good MIM or similar, or if you want USA you go second hand.
  9. Tom Bukovac is one of the top Nashville based session guitarists in the world. Currently playing live with Heart so into Rock and Country Rock big time. But during lockdown his passion was playing in his garage. Here he is with his soon to be ex wife Sarah Buxton (look her up) doing Ripples. It's magical. (If you search his vids, he also does More Fool Me and Your Own Special Way. (ps - Trick of the Tail is my favourite Genesis Album) Ripples

Looks great. Is it MIM/US bass? Where did you get the neck?

  13. That is absolutely stunning! Well in @cetera
  14. “And the G string….it’s too tight!”
  15. Interesting you say this, I love the Rock n Roll series of books by Graham Forbes….genuinely funny.
  16. Reply to MoonBassAlpha Just came on the post the same - his chops in that last song were unbelievable! (Around 20:40 in iPlayer) EDIT: seems to be this guy... Tarron Crayton @TarronCrayton
  17. Macca, working at 80, something many will experience inThe near future…..😇 Personally thought the band and performance was excellent. No miming, odd wee wobble, but just magical. Noel Gallagher said something profound earlier along the likes of, “I’m just blown away seeing kids sing and rock out to songs I wrote years before they were born. Try being McCartney…..
