    I've heard it's seven years bad luck to have two 'clashing' P-Bass guitars in one place. A bit like crossing the beams in Bassbusters.......only cure is to send one up to Scotland for 'cleansing' then switch them over.....honest....😇

    Was speaking to a GuitarGuitar Glasgow guy on Sunday. I was looking at the PRS Mayer Silver Sky and he said 'they are selling really well'. I asked "What went wrong with Fender and him?" His reply was "They are trapped in tradition. A bit scared to break the link with their reputation." He wasn't 'slagging' them, just pointing out a fact IMHO.

    Yup. Love the old stuff. Thought The Raven and Black n White had great stuff too. I think in those days most albums had a good A side and dodgier B side. Not really listened to new stuff save the Stuart Pearce effort which was good. I never get the “hate” for new band members, would folks prefer they disbanded?

    Do Fender own Charvel? Look very like the Charvel basses minus the J pick up?

    These are some of the most consistent and player friendly basses ever. Got a pal (on here) with a black BS version and it sits perfectly balanced on your body and the “neck just knows” where your fingers go.

    Pretty close to my journey but must say they really lost something when Hackett left. His shows these days are magical.
