  1. Lovely! Great colour and much better for your chances of not becoming a kidney donor! 😉
  2. 1. Holographic bass body that you can change the colour of using an app of render bass “vintage” or “brand new” on a whim. 😎 2. Non holographic bass body that can be painted or beat up through use. 😜
  3. For info... Yamaha BB history https://bassmusicianmagazine.com/2020/12/history-of-yamaha-bb-basses-workhorses-that-became-thoroughbreds/ Wee link to article on BB history

  18. Still to do a NBD thread (may never happen1) but I bought a Player MIM Black/Maple P bass. GG had it as a demo at £649, took a punt by trading in my Spector Legend (actually a very versatile and great sounding bass) and a G n L Tribute Tele (regrets already!). But.....I either had to have heroin or a P-bass! Balances well, stays in tune and has the thump and growl that was required for a short gig. Rolled volume off slightly and put tone way down before rolling back to around 15% treble. Was intending using my EHX Big Muff for Uptown Funk but decided against as the bass handled it well. One day I'll do a thread but very pleased with it.
  19. Prince Harry is badass
  20. Tell me about it. Think the original had a programmed e-bass line….
  21. Simple songs leave you no place to hide. Having a verse, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, solo, bridge, chorus, verse, chorus end can be much easier than something straightforward. recently did “Don’t Get Me Wrong” . Took me to the last rehearsal to nail it. Even then, the “fast G” meant I stared at the guitarist for a cue! Once did a Country n Western set as a favour. Sweating buckets at playing 1/5 all nigh5 and hittin* my mark! Ginal easy song….sing Purple Rain….the gaps for the singer! Ended up counting her in at times.
