Same here, Mike Dirnt body at least.
Personally, if you're going to make one from scratch, you'd probably be better getting your hands on a '51 pbass templates and using them, just altering it for a split P pickup.
Usually quite a tight fit for hard cases, snug enough it doesn't move much.
I have one in a Hiscox case which isn't so tight, a fair bit of movement depending on basses but all do their job to protect the bass at the end of the day.
Looks fantastic with that tort guard. GLWTSπβπΌ
Although I'm sure with delivery, a Yamaha BB with tort guard, @AndyTravis might had tried biting at this ππ
Honestly, even if it was Monday I'd say it'd been a long week and not sure how I made it to Friday alive π€£ so waking up without my vices, I'm quite pleased with myself.
I assume you've tried it on an extra wide strap?
A whole minute sped up of him tidying away... God that man's tidy π
@chrisba definitely get on a course, it'd be great to see how you find it and what you get upto afterwards πππ»
Sorry, I hadn't woke up properly or had my coffee and cigarette.... Thanks for getting me though πππ» top man
That's good though regarding it being smoother, right? I know it's each to their own but I do like an active bass with a nice sweep of sounds than just having the raw 'metal bass' sound of active 5 strings.
Looks great, parts or original and I'm sure it sounds great too πππ»
Sorry bud, I see it now and had a thought I didn't have the right years but I've never really looked into Hofner modelsπ€¦πΌββοΈ personally, I'd probably shoot for the 61 if the 62 is very mid driven and thin as myself and other bassists try and keep to the bass frequencies in our bands.
What do you make of the Club series or is the Violin style, your style?
It'd be great to see pics and hear your opinion when you get one π
Not one for me, for a few reasons but I appreciate people like yourself enjoy them and have a passion for their craft! π
Would the Neck/Bridge pickup (61?) Have more tonal options than the Neck/Middle (62?)? I can imagine the latter to sound more like an EB0 style bass but smaller in size.
