1. I gave up on class D amps ages ago. I'm much happier using my Ampeg SVT6 pro and Ashdown ABM300 , sound great and perfectly manageable to move.
2. I'll come to with some G+L , Ampeg and Hartke stuff.
3. I reckon Ill be able to make it.
4. I would be up for that , depending on dates. I went to school opposite there so would be a nice walk down memory lane !
5.
You are a man of good taste then
Yep...that's why I use Ashdown !!
6.
I've recently rediscovered Malted Milks after a ~30 year break. I hope you have some of those in your selection....
I love a Malted Milk...especially the chocolate covered ones...
7. An Ashdown cab is preferred over a Barefaced...will Basschat ever recover from this...!! Good job I've got biscuits in....
8. The Ashdown doesn't use the ICE power module , it is a much bigger thing they use. I'm not saying too much about big iron versus class D...got accused of imagining things last time..!
9. I'd have just done the first set as asked , took half the money then never bothered playing there again.
10. I played a couple of these in the states recently. They were both really nice , sounded and played well. my only problem was the pickup switch. It looked slightly too big for the size of the bass and on both models the switch was very crackly which was suprising on a brand new bass. No other problems though and I'd be happy to gig one.
11. Ask them for some tolex glue while you're at it.....!
12. They had loads in guitar centre in LA when I was there last week....if you're passing that way !!
13. Can you deliver or is it pick up only ?
14. My 1992 L2000 has been my main bass for a year now , fantastic bass.
15. Indeed , my ABM 300 which I bought 15 years ago has never been short of tone , punch or power , unlike the class D heads I used for a while. My Ampeg SVT 6 pro has even more power but I never need to run it hard. The micro amps are ok for convenience but in my experience are no match for an A/B amp.....unless I'm imagining it of course !!
16.
I'm imagining it? Cool... thanks for the heads-up!
I must be imagining it too !!
17. Most of the places we play were not designed for live music...just have to do what you can and get on with it !
18.
I think that must be one of the most lethal loads I've ever seen in a car! The lack of view to the nearside could be equally lethal....
19. It might all fit in , but whether it's safe for the road or not is another issue...
20. I'd have had this ages ago if you could have sent it......
21. It Looks like Tim C isn't using the Barefaced cabs at this gig , any idea what these no name cabs are ?? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzyPw2lpWqo
22. I love the Ashdown guys , top people to deal with.
23.
Calling the Barefaced fan club.....
Please don't.....
