For sale , my superb Yamaha BB1024X in Vintage White. I've only had this bass a few months but my P Bass is better suited to my bands and so I'm reluctantly selling it.
It is in as new condition , no dings etc. I have given it a good set up , strung with 45 - 105 D'Addario Nickel roundwounds , Schaller straplocks [origional strap buttons included if needed] and everything is in perfect working order.
Included is a padded Yamaha gig bag , tools and owners manual.
This bass sounds and plays fantastic and balances perfectly on a strap.
I'm based in Stockport/Manchester and is collection only as I don't want to risk damage in the post. Mutual meet up somewhere could also be arranged.[attachment=199841:P9010049.JPG][attachment=199842:P9010047.JPG]
No trades please , straight sale only at £525
I got a 1024X in vintage white for £564 including a padded gig bag and postage from Yamaha London , had to wait a while to get it but was well worth the wait as it's a fantastic bass.
I've played the one in PMT Manchester a couple of times and told them the £850 price tag is too high. Best price they offered me was £800 cash and they would throw in a gig bag for half price ! Needless to say , I walked away.
Just because someone is a fantastic and musically talented player , doesn't always make them the best
person for the job. Being a band member is about much more than technical ability.
Class D amps do that. It's probably running at or near full volume despite the volume knob being only halfway up.
When they get too hot they can cut out for safety.
I've had my ABM since 2001 and it's always been a fantastic amp. The ABM and Ampeg SVT are quite similar sound wise but the Ashdown has a fatter low end.
Over the years I've used several other amps but the ABM has always been my favourite amp plus Ashdown are a great company to deal with too.
It works mainly by Ticketmaster employees buying tickets in bulk on company provided credit cards. They are then sold on for an inflated price , providing Ticketmaster with over twice the revenue from a single ticket. The fans are the ones who suffer , but will continue to unless people stop using these sites.
Buying tickets from Get Me In just supports this legalised touting system. The only way these so called agencies work is if the people use them.
If we want to see an end to paying over the odds ticket prices then the only way to do so is by stop using these tout sites and not supporting them.
Too many festivals with too many stages , too many average bands and not enough headline worthy bands. Donington 84 was my favorite , motley crue , accept , y+t , Gary Moore , ozzy Osbourne , van Halen and ac/dc. One stage , all killer no filler.
