1. CEX would give me £240. It's a no go methinks!
  2. Was that the 3G or 3GS? I suspect i'd be lucky to get £200 for mine but still checking!
  3. O2; I had it unlocked to get onto my Orange sim but then accidentally updated to the latest software, for which there is currently no crack... It was my sister's, she now has the iPhone 4 so gave me the 3G
  4. iPhones? Hmmmm.... Got a useless (for me, wrong network and locked) 3G iPhone...
  5.
Yep - I'm bringing my MB500 with me - you're more than welcome to have a blast through it (and my cabs as well!!) HTH, Ian
Lovely, cheers! Oh, and +1 to the 50/50 split
  6. Anyone have a GK MB2-500 or MB Fusion they can bring along for me to try out?
  7. Just spoken to Phil Mulford, he is hopeful he can make it for a few hours in the morning, hopefully with some of his Overwater basses in tow. Might get him to bring his new rig too, though I can't say what it is just yet
  8. Good luck! sk8 had trouble shifting his too... I guess lack of money is the key, like I said I'd have snapped this up with some moolah in my pocket...
  9. Pics of the wireless unit? Colour me interested...
  10. I'm half tempted to buy it to compare with the one Mikey is building me. I certainly know I prefer the look of Mikey's design
  11. I spoke to Polar Audio (GK disti over here) about availability last week, they said to contact them direct and they'd order the amp from GK, it'd take 6-8 weeks to arrive... Needless to say you won't get any decent shop deal from them but it may be the only way at the mo
  12.
thats a bargain that is
Damn right, still can't afford it tho
  13.
Final drop to £325 I'm not going lower. Might as well keep the Little Bastard
Stop it, you're not helping my wallet. I REALLY want this but can't really afford it...
  14. Sorry to hear that dude, horrible way to have to give up playing Good luck wit the sales
  15. I'd have shown a hell of a lot of interest if i had any money!
  16.
Yep..I find it very wearing when people try to tell me what I should or should not hear.. out of different cabs etc .. Which is why I tend to use, IMO, IMV etc etc..
Fair point I tend to forget to put this on the end of everyhting I say But that's coz I'm always right (edited for removal of awful spelling)
  17.
Sound that travels at less than 330 m/s. Obviously
Ah, I see!
And yes, at the end of the day it's down to your ears.
No it's not!
Nobody sane would disagree with that
Oh bugger.
however, it does get a bit wearing when people start trying to TELL you what sounds "best" and that you can't get this sound from that cab/speaker. etc, especially when you KNOW it to be inaccurate!
Yip.
  18.
Ok.... but still a low end thunk and slow moving sound.
WTF is a slow moving sound?
  19.
What you are likely to get in abundance is a heavy and slow
You haven't heard the Vintage, clearly Slow? What a load of old bollocks.

Joe is a star. He went out of his way for me to pick up, and pack up, a Status Groove bass which was FS on Leeds Gumtree. Didn't ask for anything (exscept a pint! I think I can stretch to a few after this ) and communicated brilliantly. Can't ask for anything more really, amazing

    Kiwi's feedback

Sold CK a Peavey DPC750, shipped it to NZ and it was a real pleasure, a dead easy transaction Hope you enjoy Steve!
  22.
Must be looking for a certain sound to think of 2x15's....
Not really. You can get pretty much anything you want from my Vintage. I want rock tho
  23.
I can't find reference to a "Big Twin" on his website.... is this a new model? Super 12 - yes, Big Baby - Yes, Big One - Yes....
Big Twin is a 2x12" plus 1x6.5" monster that will destroy everything in its path. Not yet fully in production I don't think. EDIT: from the man himself
the Big Twin. Essentially a 2x12" version of the Big One it plays a bit louder (~3dB), goes quite a bit lower (-3dB point shifts down by ~7Hz), and offers a 4 ohm nominal load to get the most out of typical bass amps, which combined with the greater speaker area and enclosure size makes it usefully easier to drive. Big cab, BIG sound, big price (unfortunately!) Pretty righteous though...
24. Can we add MikeyR to the list as well? He'll be bringing my multiscale if it's finished, and prob his Shuker P and maybe the multiscale proto if he can carry it all
