What are these like for weight/balance I'm used to my Sandberg which is very light with no neck dive. Those tuners look heavy!

Mine was original sunburst with black plate as well. The colour and finish are great on these early MM basses....damn want my old one back glwts

I used a 4 stringer fretless ray as my main gigging bass for about 18 months and it was the business. Really fancy trying a sterling but too short of cash at the min, bump for good looking bass

I recognise that damage to the edge below the jack! Think this was my first ever bass bought new in rushworths Liverpool in the early 90s and sold (foolishly) on ebay after 100s of gigs. The mark is where I moved the jack to the edge then realised what a fool I'd been I moved it back and had the hole filled :-) think there's pics of me with it at www.thebuckets.co.uk shame I didn't see this sooner I might have brought her home. Whoever gets it its a belter

+1 for unlined I had an unlined stingray and it was my main gigging bass for 2 yrs -lovely tone. The ebony board on this will be sweet and will laugh at a roundwounds attemp to dig in
