1.
Me too! (Not the house move but the effects). Tried to update the toneprint app on my phone but nothing happened. Had this problem before and solved it by taking the app off the phone and downloading again. Worked before but not this time, maybe its the new version of the app or my android phone is out of date! Downloaded app to tablet, big n fiddly compared to phone :-( . Looked at reviews on latest version of app, quite a few unhappy customers.
Exactly what I've found. I've got the latest Toneprint app and it's a real pain compared to the last one. I've gone for the "Stuff it" approach and loaded up the Spectracomp.

    Best tuner pedal

My Boss TU-2 has done sterling service for the past 20 years. It's buffered, totally silent switching, and has a 9V output too. As an added bonus you can repel stage invaders with it as it's so solidly built.
  3. I've upgraded the amp..... but I can't seem to load up the 3 new effects into it. I'll keep trying but I'm in the middle of house move negotiations so play-time is limited at the moment.
  4. There are quite a few Donner f/x pedals that are $30 (~£20) delivered FOC by one of Santa's eleves from here. I'm tempted by the Boost Killer and the Jet Convolution Flanger. I've made my list and checked it twice!
  5. You've done a fantastic job with that. It looks really good.
  6. If it's any help, I tried a lots of different chorus tone-prints and decided I like flangers better. They seemed to suit bass more than chorus did, but that's just me.
  7. You, Sir, are a star. Thanks very much.
  8. I found that having music notation software really helped me in learning to read. I could write songs out, play them back at various speeds and try different things out. I use (an old version of) this: Sibelius First Since learning to read I've earnt a lot of money (and had a lot of fun) playing in the band pit for local shows.
  9. D'you have a price you're not willing to exceed?

    DIY Effects

Just finished a Barbershop.... and very pleased with it, too. I use it as a low gain overdrive. I'd have another as an always on pedal if I didn't already have a ROG Ginger, which I use as an always on, barely detectable grit pedal. The Barbershop sounds good into the Ginger, and an LPB-1 works nicely to give it an extra push when needed. The black control knob is just a 'dummy' to fill a hole. I'd drilled the box for an earlier project which I didn't like.
  12. That's great. I was listening to The Move in the car yesterday and thinking how good the bass lines were.
  13. I use the same avatar on every forum I'm a member of, otherwise I'd forget it was me. I say every forum so it sounds like I'm a much travelled sort of gentleman. It's actually three........ Including this one.
  14. Gigging satisfies the insecure show-off part of me that nothing else can. And, like Lozz said, the quiet drive home (with perhaps a bit of classical music on) is sublime.
  15.
You can taste it....

... but I smell a red herring.
I don't like the sound of that smell.
  16. The Joyo American Sound is the bees knees with bass! (IMHO, of course, and YmpgMV also.)
  17.
..... the first one. It just seems a little smoother in its response ....

The first one sounds wonderfuly woody ....

The first one is thinner with slightly more top end.

there is a difference, first has a little more bite,.....
Not only can't we agree on which is which, we seem to think the same one sound different to itself!
