1. I've just shown this to MrsB and she says "why haven't you bought it yet?" Boy, do I love my wife, or what? PM'd.
2. That is a thing of beauty..... and you're forgiven the 'sentimental old fool' part.
3. There's a series/parallel wiring diagram here.

Here's my take on the ROG Ginger..... The switch at the top doesn't do anything except fill a hole in the box. I really like this pedal..... and it's kicked the Joyo American Sound off my board at the moment. It's very touch sensitive, and by switching between series and split with my MM p/up and changing my finger attack then lots of different levels of growl can be achieved. It reacts well to a boost pedal in front of it, too.
CanI just ask where's the best place to buy decent quality components in small (10 or 20 off) quantities nowadays? I used to order religiously from Doctor Tweek, but his shop's been down for a while and supplies of the usual suspects (10KΩ resistors and 100nf poly box caps) are dwindling...
I use Bitsbox.
6. My BG250-208 arrived back yesterday from REAL Electronics repair shop and is working perfectly. I hope it stays like that! Excellent sevice from GAK.

I like the colour....... but what is it? (not the colour - the pedal ) p.s. What do you spray them with? Plasticote?
8. ....so does that become Arctic White that the Huskies have peed in?
9. oooo - I like that! Where did you get that p/guard from, or did you DIY?
10. mmmmm - that's what my TC BG250-208 did for a few days before giving up the ghost completely. It took longer and longer to wake up...... then died!
11. However; if one's spent £5,500 on a kettle lead then only the best fuse is good enough!
12. Oh..... time to go 'ohm.
13. eeek. I've never been that bad, but I did play one gig with the worst cold I've ever had and, as one can't blow one's nose mid-song, I had a lot of snot in my 'tash that evening.
14. The CD of JCS that I have has Alice Cooper as Herod!

The 'Ginger' looks (and sounds) interesting..... I might just order a pcb. errrr..... what does a mid-fi clarinot sound like? I've never heard one, or heard of one. Did you roll your own opto? I cheated and bought one for my Madbean Afterlife.

18. I thank you. I've never tried drilling for a side-entry jack so I wouldn't know about that. The only reason I can see for doing that is if you really wanted the extra hole for a control of some sort, e.g. a 3-band pre-amp.
19.
What about the SUB range of SBMM? Are they any good?
Yes, but the pre-amp needs tweaking and I've replaced the p/up with an alnico GFS MM pro-plus.
Can you see what page the final schematics are on? (Not the etched PCB layout, the actual schematic (and not the schem of the original amp)). Si
No - the two links to a .pdf file that I've found in the thread don't work.
