1. Yes you need a common ground wire from the centre 'hole' of the jack socket to the pot bodies & the bridge.
2. Busted! Could be a broken inner core, what make are they & where did you get them - talk to the supplier - I reckon they'll send you a replacement, or if it's Rotosound a whole set 'cos they're good like that.
3. It's all explained at the top of the Items Wanted forum:- http://basschat.co.uk/topic/219087-items-wanted-restriction-on-posting-replies/

9. As already said, they're all replaceable, advertise the lot & whatever sells sells, get what you want when you come through this. Hope you can raise the cash you need & best wishes to you, your Father & family. John

15. It's good but - 1st track, Sultans of Swing, it's such a long 'same old same old song' I wouldn't put it up as your opener for a demo, I can see critics loosing interest before the 6 minutes is up. The only thing I'd personally critisise overall is the vocals - which I can appreciate may well come across better live but recorded seem a bit lacking, lazy perhaps, could be brighter, seem a bit weak/tame. Constructive criticism of your avtar - when you hover over your name the avtar on Soundcloud it's shown less than full size & appears as a faceless bloke doing a pelvic thrust to the viewer, in fact the perspective of the picture used gives me the impression of a 'lot of crutch in jogging bottoms' - nothing personal but it's not helping your image IMHO. HTH John

19. Well the serial number checks out http://guitardaterproject.org/fender.aspx
20. Nothing looks amiss but can't see the capacitor legs clearly. It has to be said those Jap pots ain't the best & could be a fault in the tone pot. I wouldn't worry about cutting the wires off them & putting a decent kit in there, best thing you could do IMO
21. Maybe the earth wire has come off the back of the tone pot? Have you had it apart yet? Can you get a picture up?
22. Yeah for the BC beanie it's brass monkeys out here today
23. I made a wiring kit for Nathan to convert his active bass to passive, we had lots of pms to sort out sizes etc, all first class comms, instant payment, a pleasure to deal with all the way. Cheerz, John
24. I made a P-bass wiring kit for Eddie, excellent communications & instant payment, great no hassle transaction. With a few words of encouragement he had it fitted with no trouble. Great guy to deal with, Cheerz, John
