Not going to help you by the sounds of it, but a good drummer is able to play at any volume without “compromising their style or whatever it means”. You could suggest using rods instead of sticks. I find these type of band mates frustrating. But it sounds like you want to keep him onside. Good luck.

There’s a joke in my family that wherever we go on holiday (UK or abroad) I’ll find a guitar shop. And yes, I’ll usually buy something, more so these days with so many high street retailers closing down. But it’s usually strings or the like.

I’m aware it’s a punt, and it’s covered in scratches and dings. No idea if the truss rod works and what condition structurally the neck is in. But from images it doesn’t look like anything I can’t sort. 🙏🤞

Did a bit of research and reviews on this model. All had good right ups. That Dimarzio with the switching seems to be the star billing. But I always thought that the Longhorn design is cool as flock but I don’t get on with short scale necks. I’m a bit worried about the strap pin placement as I tend to like the horn strap pin on the 12th fret, like Ps and J style. But I’ll get over it, coz I’m shallow. 🤣 I’ll do a review.

Ha, I know what they paid for that. Nice profit if it sells. I have one. The body, hardware and pickups are superb, I wasn’t keen on the neck profile, but it was well enough made. I put a P neck on mine and it’s retired my other basses.
