  1. Fabulous bit of kit for iPad recording. Focusrite preamps and easy docking for iPad and iPad mini with lightning connection. Haven’t used this for a while since getting a separate audio interface for iMac and iPad. Does not fit 12” iPad Pro please note. It’s in good condition. There is a streak on the top right hand side where I tried to give a small mark a clean but made it look worse as it’s a rubbery surface 🙄 £50 collected/handed over in person, or £55 posted. Boxed, PSU and instructions included. Here's some specs https://www.andertons.co.uk/recording/audio-interfaces/mobile-device-interfaces/focusrite-itrack-dock-interface-for-ipad-and-ipad-mini
  2. I’ve just ditched one band where the leaders wife is a bv but is a deluded control freak with little musical talent and he sheepishly goes along with her nonesense. My other band has 2 couples in it, but they seem to be able to maintain professional boundaries and all 4 people are not mad. I’d be interested in knowing your keyboard players intentions before I’d decide anything. Is she deluded, curious, a keener, or just inspired by your playing. Has she made her request to the whole band?
  3. It wouldn’t worry me particularly. If she’s terrible or at least not great, but still insists on pursuing this dream, and no one says anything and they go along with it, I’d high tail out of there asap. I don’t hang around in bands with the deluded in control. If she turns out to be good, and is supported by the rest to pursue her dream, then you have a choice to share bass duties or leave. You could of course refuse that she plays bass all together. I don’t know what your relationship is like with her husband, but I would imagine that their relationship would probably win if he supports her.
  4. Wasn’t it last Christmas?
  5. Been there too my friend, when we were struggling I sold all my kit. Built up again some years later. If you want to borrow a bass give me a shout, or others on here I’m sure would help a bass brother/sister/other out 😎
  6. Great band. Sadly how the brothers ended up hating each other.
  7. I was listening to Argus and There’s The Rub last night, thinking how friggin cool Mr Turners T’Bird sounded. Bet this baby can cut through a mix like a chainsaw wielding Balrog. Oof! Someone hurry up and buy this.
  8. I’ve been pretty settled on a fretted and a fretless P for about 12 months, unusual for me. Had a fleeting dance with a Stingray during that time, but that came & went.
  9. Valencia VC564CE Cutaway electro Classical Guitar with Hard Case. Just restrung with new strings. The fret board is a lovely striped Amara Ebony, Spruce top and walnut back & sides. Bought this as I always fancied playing some Latin style jazz, but I’m hopeless and haven’t the time to fulfill this particular fantasy. It’s in good condition, a couple of marks, and the electrics work well with a nice 3 band eq and built in tuner. Don’t be put off by the low price, it’s a lovely guitar and plays nicely. I just not playing it and have a tiny house, so really don’t have room. £90 collected or could post for £105 as it’s in a hard case. Open to trades btw, try me. Interested in old iMac/Macbook for GarageBand use.
  10. I have a couple of self build Ps with Finder Decision Bass in 70’s style logo on. I could leave the headstock blank I suppose. But it’s no one else’s business, so why worry.
  11. I’ve always viewed being called to dep as a great compliment, particularly if the band is of decent quality. It means you are trusted to turn up (at the right location & on time) prepped and ready to go, without rehearsal. Thats a lot of trust a BL is putting in you. I enjoyed depping (particularly decent function bands) as I got to play without having to deal with band politics, and could always say no if I didn’t fancy the gig. The last dep I did lasted 8 years! Happy in my band now so don’t do it as much, but would still if it’s a fun gig.
  12. Could really do with that 112 to match my 212 but Essex is a long way from Bath.
  13. Yes the nob quality seem at such odds with the rest of the build quality. I replaced mine with some funky coloured ones.
  14. Great idea. Just ordered a matching set for our geetards birthday!
  15. First time RH750 user here. Have to say the eq and preset flexibility is so useful for me when using fretted, fretless and upright. Push one of the 3 presets and I’m good to go. The volume on tap is ridiculous.
  16. Psychodahlias played the Dublin Castle yesterday. Went well, although the stage isn’t really cut out for a 7 piece that like to move about 😂. How madness coped I don’t know.
  17. Reminds me of this. My church musician experience has been that often the most naturally gifted are the laziest and believe fanning the flame of their gift involves totally ignoring any semblance of work. Doesn't help that they are often lauded by the congregation as gifted or “anointed’ thus reinforcing the negligence. If anyone said that to me I’d always reply “the more I practice and more attentive I am to my responsibilities with my “gift”, the more gifted I seem to be” 😂😂 funny that.
  18. The Psychodahlias are playing The Dublin Castle Camden this Sunday. If you’re around, come and say ‘alllo Details: https://www.wegottickets.com/event/597128#
