  1. Cheers Paul, it’s a lined fretless and I can send it back at sellers expense, so could be worth a punt. What was it about the pups? Are they replaceable?
  2. Been offered a 40/40. Not played one, but looks interesting. Are they built well? I see on here that someone commented that the pups let them down. I’m after an unusual (not fender basically, but not a flash) bass for a band project, and the hayman looked unusual.
  3. Lots of pictures now. Look at those curves and the lovely blue metallic sparkle finish….mmmmmm.
  4. - “the plastic is still on the scratch-plate/rear plate/truss rod cover”
  5. Thought this had sold but still here. Trade for an amp head, or straight sale.
  6. I’m saying nothing…… 😶
  7. Mate of mine does a load of open mic/jam nights around the area, I’ll ask him for some ideas Jack. Will you be with tool in hand? John

  9. Ah, but it’s advertised as a Squire. They are more expensive.
  10. Might consider a sale now as there’s some G&L LB100 action going on near me.
  11. Had some interest but still here. Trade for an amp head an option.
  12. Thanks for your replies. I have no experience of semi hollow electric basses, only Double Bass which has never been played at high volume, and had no drums to compete with. I’ve done plenty of gigs with acoustic guitars in large venues but always used a “feedback buster” in the sound hole. Might see if there’s any available locally for me to try out. Thanks again. John
  13. Anyone gig with one of these regularly and at high stage volume? I’m looking at a long scale semi hollow for a new venture, and as the Lakland on here has recently sold, I’m considering a JC. Looking at and listening to reviews, the bass has a fairly good range of tone variation (although I tend to stick with the same tone settings throughout a set, varying finger position/attack to get some scope when needed, so not an issue). My main concern would be possible feedback, given that it’s a hollow body without centre block. So the question above is for those who play one at high band volume and your experiences. Thank you.
  14. I am a G&L fanboy. Had an SB2 before, great pups and no tone knob works fine once you get used to it. Happy to join the queue 😊 cheers John
  15. Best recording bass I own. Won’t gig it these days though as I find it heavy, even with a huge strap.
  16. I had the same model. Great basses and once again @phsycoandyyour pricing is extremely fair. GLWTS
  17. Just looked on Google maps. Castleford looks about half way…. Let me check and I’ll PM you. Anyone comes along in meantime then my bad luck.
  18. Lovely looking thing. Sadly Bath is too far away otherwise I’d have that baby. Brother in Skipton though….mmm too far East though. Boooger 😢 GLWTS
