  1. +1 on the BB Pre Amp. Great wee unit. The boss is a bit fizzy. I used one in conjunction with a pre type pedal to add some oomph but since retired it. I've PM'd you about the Fender Sublime as an OD option and the Mad Professor BBBOD. There is a heap of choice and until you hear one in the wild and with a band it's hard to make the call. Some pedals can sound poor solo'd but just really work in a band and vice versa. The good thing about BC is that people will genuinely and steer you in the right direction. Good luck!
  2. It's like a Mark Hoppus bass only way better. Good luck with this one Eddie! I'd be sorely tempted but 3 basses would be over kill
  3. Got this very recently from McNash in a quest to find a mild/light overdrive. It came the same time as a Mad Prof BBBOD, which I find myself favouring over the BB pre. These are £179 in my local GuitarGuitar. I'm after what I paid, £100, and I'll include shipping in the price. The pedal really shines as a pre amp, clean boost or drive with quite a bit of poke on tap. The Treble and Bass EQ are 15db boost/cut and as I'm already using a pre amp in my rig the flexibility of the BB Pre is a little under utilised. I'm gonna try it again tomorrow with the full band, record the session and listen back but I think the BB Pre is the one that leaves the pedalboard. Link to the website included below. Oh and did I mention it tiny! Very small footprint for such a versatile effect. PM for info and its for sale only, no trades http://www.xotic.us/effects/base_bb/
  4. Picked up a pedal from Pete. transaction was as smooth as a slippery surface! G
  5. Bought BB Pre amp Bass from Jose. He delivered it to my door (however he does live close by so I can't say he'll do that for every BC'er). Pedal is great, as described and he gave me a few tips on settings. Nice guy and I can voucher for his good comms etc.
  6. I'm off with some buddies to Porto next week and was wondering if any of you yahoo's are going or playing? Some great bands announced. I'm also happy to listen to any suggestions of must see bands? Cheers
  7. Top bloke. Paid promptly and good comms. Deal with confidence!

  9. Rothwell Comp Markbass Compressore Effectrode PC-2A Good comps and the last two are valve based! Useful for home recording to 'warm' the signal.
  10. Well if you ever move back to Ireland, generate enough cash and still want it gimme a shout
  11. Wonder what a '51 p pick up would sound like in a jazz bass neck position
  12. Lovely P bass you have there. I set mu old USA P bass up to look like one of these (minus the rw look) Have a bump
  13. Don't be put off by the frustration in Darbys: "Literally ANY offers now, im just interested in having something else..." The neck's on these basses are top notch, the feel of wood on skin is a delight and the range of tones from the active eq is pretty sweet. If you can't decide to get this bass because you think a bass that looks this cool can't sound great your a fool, a damn fool! Somebody do a deal with this guy. He's 100% Word!
