I've finally got that 115 cab I was harping on about in my first post which means that this is now officially up for grabs! I'll do it for £300 including the cover but the buyer is to arrange the courier. Can't say fairer than that! PM for pic's or if you have any questions. Thanks!

PM'd If this comes good I'd be happy for the cab to wing it's way up the country as fellow BC'ers had a play on it and moved it along to the next person but I'd need it to arrive in sunny Scotland in abt 2 weeks and I belive the cab is a good old fashioned 24kg approx just so you know -

Hey folks Turns out a nice cab has become available but the seller is reluctant to package/ship! Typical! The cab is a 115 and weights 50lb ( about 22kg) and dimensiones are 27"length x 23" depth x29" height. It would be a sturdy lift. If anyone is able to help I'd naturally pay for bubble wrap and packaging materials and arrange the courier to suit your schedule and pass on a little something for the effort! Please PM if you can help out and thanks for reading!

I've had gear robbed from a car before - got distracted and forgot it was in there. You'll feel lilke a tit if you can arrange a lift to the jam or just hump it out - if its omly two speakres and two amp along with guitar/bass its not that big a job and you'll have a three hour rest before you load it in again Oh and get some Snickers to keep your energy up!

The nut width on these is 1.59 whereas the standard P is 1.62 so not a lot in it in terms of the nut width but these have a different neck to the standard p. If you like a telebass this one is a winner - I was the owner before Damon and got the black and tort plat made to mimic the Lakland 51p bass plate - no we fancy curls just a straight cut running past the P p/up. These are really good solid P basses and you wouldn't know the green day connection as they have tastefully chosen not to whack tacky inlays etc on it. A great addition to anyone arsenal!

Yeah I'm not really wanting to sell it but the 55-01 with Nordstrands that came up a while ago has caught my eye. I feel really quite at home on a 5 string as it turn's out and other than selling my foot I can't really afford £500 quid on a second bass If this doesn't sell it no hardship to keep and yeah Dave excellent work. Its a beaut! Whats not to like right!!

Gonna hang onto this for now as the other bass I was hoping to replace this with has sold. To be honest its no hardship. Cheers for all the positive comments and interest.

In the past I've just used a basic pedal to get the signal in there and then used GB for any other tone stuff. If its just a basic signal intp the mac that will do it. I now run a preamp into the mac and that gives me all the signal boost i need etc.

Some fine suggestions there and as a Lakland player already I am drawn to them. I'll see what pops up over the coming months and see if I can give the Squiers a go too. I'd really prefer to try before I buy for this purchase as the 35" scale does appeal to me more - pickups etc can always be changed down the line. Cheers
