  1. Never thought I'd get myself a Dingwall. And now I have. It's. Amazing.

Nice score, had my NG3 a few months now and it's still impressing me.

I looked at a Dingwall fretless. The concept made stuff leak out of my ears...

I swapped my ACG for a combustion 5.  Best deal I have ever done ...and there have been a few.

  2. So Dingwalls never really got to me, the few times I heard them they didn't appeal to me. Until last March, I was at the London Bass Guitar Show and so was Sheldon Dingwall. He had some basses with him (a.o. a 5-string and 6-string Combustion, a D-Bird) and I immediately fell in love with a trans white 5-string Combustion. It has been in my head for a few months and I tried to find one second hand, and even considered ordering a brand new one. And then I got a message: I could buy the bass I played in London! Good price, good bass, directly from Dingwall. So that's what I did. Instead of waiting 7 months for a new one, I had mine in 7 days. And. It's. Awesome. My girlfriend still has to get used to the view of all those Fender-ish instruments and one totally different on the wall, but even she likes it
  3. Those two De Gier Elevations look amázing. So does the rest by the way. For me: new bass, new sofa photo. Added the Dingwall today!
  4. White bass number three! So in theory, all these basses are white.
  5. That. Is. Gorgeous.
  6. This? Yes. It is.
  7. No it wasn't Mine was built for me by Sander. Different pickguard, dots + binding. Nice bass though
  8. Pooheey, that is one darn pretty bass you got there. I love my Bebop but that burl is insane! It's an "original" Bebop but still, it was the first dots+binding Bebop Sander made.

I pick up this bass every once in a while and it surprises me every time how good it is. The neck, setup, sound, everything is amázing. Especially when considering I paid only €400 for it. Put about the same amount of money in the electronics (Nordstrand and Aguilar), but still. Fantastic instrument.
  10. My god, the amount of mojo on this bass is insáne.
  11. Amsterdam!
  12. You mean the orchestral hits in the end? That's a plugin Or the melody before that? That's an EWI played through a DSI Evolver. I am Dutch
  13. Absolutely gorgeous bass.
  14. Check, thanks
  15. Was the AVRI in a nuclear explosion?
  16. Very pretty bass! I have the "reissue" of that one (The B2), also with an Aguilar preamp, which is a major improvement. I love Blade basses but the preamps are...so so. Good luck with the sale, can't believe no one has snatched it yet.
  17. I visited Wunjo two months ago when I was in London for the LBGS, and the guy there was really nice, and although he knew I wasn't going to buy a bass he took the time to have a chat about vintage basses, Yamaha TRBs and so on. Very nice guy and if I had budget for a new bass while in London (or in the area) I'd certainly visit Wunjo.
  18. Hot damn! Free bump for your gorgeous bass. Wish I could afford it.
  19. Oh boy. A lot. I've doe a lot of cover gigs and with my own coverband we play 3 sets of an hour with tons of medleys in 'em. I guess about 70 songs for that band alone, I know a couple of albums by heart (RHCP, Bob Marley a.o.) and many reggae songs. So yeah. Many.
  20. In England at the moment, have some free time in Bath Thursday afternoon, who's up for a beer?

  23. I used my Sub Phatty in the studio recently on the single for my fusion band Tyranni Flock: And I also recorded some bleeps and blops for another tune of ours, Dive In The Deep, in the EWI solo on our EP. Check it out here :)
  24. It's amazing how I've managed to stay out of your photos, considering I was there both days the whole time
