1. In 1970s built own pa cabs (small band 2x12s lol) saved considerable money. Can be marginal these days, last year built BFM Omni 15, amounted to same ££ as s/h Barefaced Big One that I bought. Keep thinking about FearFul 1515/66 however when there is a Barefaced Dubster at £550 on forum at moment, DIY may not be cost effective. Just needs care and thought, sometime good value, sometimes great fun, sometimes does not add up. Like the Orange cab would have gone great with my Orange Hiwatt 200 many years ago.
2. Have older well used Hiscox case, is good, only fault is that feet have torn away, rivets on feet pulled out. Case still in use. Friend has Fender Japan tele with F*** case. No comparison, Hiscox case is business.
3. Really like mine, and did not screw to fingerboard.... looked like an insubstantial mounting and would leave holes in fb. I made a plywood extension for fingerboard, screwed pick up into this, fixed plywood to fb with 2 x cable ties. Works well, and can have seriously loud db with no feedback. Use in loud blues band now and then, no problems. Let me know if a picture would help.
4. 1985 G&L Sb1, 3 bolt neck. Just stays in tune, rock solid. Play, put in case, play, put in case... repeat etc might retune now and then, is a notable event in band when I have to retune it (and yes I do play in tune lol). 3 bolt necks, what is the issue?

6. Bump - No demand for these at all, very unpopular, not musical sounding at all and just not loud enough, however I could be persuaded to give it a home other than wife would kill me. Will be an excellent g**** amp for someone.
7. Is the business, is what I should have bought in 77 when I bought sunburst P. Only one possible improvement on this bass had it been available at the time, string through body bridge . Best wishes with sale ,it is a super bass.
8. Some bass amps / cabs can be very good, my Telecaster sounds really ballsy and mean through Peavey Tour 700 and Barefaced Big One, better than through Fender Combo I think most surprising result.
9. Peavey milestone, great cheap bass, about to be fitted with emgs... power bass for cheap as chips money
10. Bargain at £200
11. Peavey tour 700 through Barefaced Big One. Plus - great tone, great flexibility, sane carry weight of head. Negative - I feel the need for even more Watts, this is in a band with 20W guitar combos (loud drummer though), big venue and no pa support. I preferred tone and low end tightness and control of Peavey over Marshall VBA I had. The more Watts needed may be due to cab choice. Try before you buy as usual.
12. What can I say, having just bought Corvette Rockbass from Rumble, this bass will be the business. Chines built Corvette Rockbass quality is beyond fault, and it sounds the business. The German kit will just be !!!!! Wish I had the wife permission to buy this bass. Good luck with a nice bass sale.
13. Agree, and must check rest still in spec, one day when time permits......
14. Valve amps, love them, and have had (and have) my share of Hiwatt, SC, Marshall, Vox and homebrew. Well executed amps are things of elegance and beauty (to me anyway, am I sad?). I love the simplicity and ease of repair, which I can do myself most of the time. Downside is when repairs are not DIY or involve transformers. The moment repairs involve a skilled person who makes a fair living, then the effects of new technology start to have a bearing. Class D poweramps are now silly money (Peavey IPR 1600 £219),they can almost be treated as consumables if lasting 2 / 3 years. Think I am going handbuilt valve pre-amp, then class D poweramp. best of both worlds? Must get shot of my SC120, is very tidy and unmolested, just hisses

16. omg, my g&l sb1 is too complex, do not see why it has two control knobs, only ever use them full on in fact is the only way I use basses and guitars, all controls full on, am I missing something (and do not say brain, taste, tone, hearing etc. as I will be upset)
17. Surprised at Schaller rattling, mine is ok. Which part was rattling?
18. BF Big One, loudest, lightest and best bass cab ever owned. Only downside is it likes plenty of Watts. Upside, great sound, cuts through mix, will say again, for me, best bass sounds ever had.
19. Get some similar coloured wood, make sawdust, mix into two pack epoxy (or suprglue gel), apply carefully, then sand down after. On maple fingerboard with similar (but smaller) damage I just used supeglue gel. Not perfect looking but has stayed put for very long time. YMMV
20. Bump, and sorry, I was being dull and showing inability to read ... long day at work is my excuse.
21. Where are you based?
22.
Bump ...
So tempted, had one many years ago, and very well made it was, as good as a certain USA guitar that is similar.
