Selling to fund a custom build. Since our band has invested in a new P.A, the bass goes through that. That makes this brilliant cab overkill for just onstage monitoring! As i have said, i am trying to fund a custom build, so rather than have it sit there, i'll move it on. I'm sure others will agree to how good these are. The clarity of the notes, and dispersion of the sound are the best i've played through in one unit! Here's a bit of spec from the Barefaced website: DIMENSIONS - 15" high x 24" wide x 13" deep 38cm x 61cm x 33cm WEIGHT - 14 kg / 31 lbs (steel grill) 13 kg / 28 lbs (cloth grill) BROADBAND SENSITIVITY - 98dB USABLE FREQUENCY RANGE - 30Hz - 6kHz RECOMMENDED AMP POWER - 100-500W RMS (safe with up to 800W if you're running fairly clean sounds) Here are some photos: Only issue the cab has is the material on the back coming away a little. Alex has kindly provided some glue to stick it back down. I haven't because i havent used it since we've had the P.A, and it didn't bother me anyway. The glue and applicator will be included though. Apart from that, it's in brilliant condition as you can see. All trials welcomed. I can ship but it will be at the buyers expense and risk. Any questions, just ask. Again, not looking at trades as i'm only selling to fund a custom build. This is something a bit special for this price IMO. Its a Squier VM jazz, that has a Babicz full contact bridge and Wilkinson pickups. It has the lowest action of any bass i've played. Looks great too The sound has clarity and bite, and can sound quite aggressive. But also works for motown and disco, which is what i've used it for. The Fender decal was already on the bass when i bought it. I know this isn't far what a new one goes for, but with the mods and with the way it plays, i fully feel it justifies this price, and i actually think it plays like a bass worth a whole lot more. If the person who buys this isn't happy with it for £250, send it back and i'll refund your money. That's how confident i am that this bass is worth every penny. Its in amazing condition. No marks on it that i can see. Will come with a soft gig bag. Trials welcome. Pickup preferred but will ship at buyers expense and risk. Here's the photos: Any questions, feel free to ask

Haven't had this all that long, but i've decided to go for a custom build, as this way i'll be sure to have a bass that meets all my needs That being said, this is a really high quality instrument IMO. Plays great, sounds great. I used to be the same. But i used to try to play it in a position i thought looked "cool". Placed it at the height to mimic where it would be if i were sitting down, and i dont have a problem anymore. Do you notice if you sometimes tilt it back towards you when sitting down? So you can inadvertently see the fretboard? When your standing up this doesn't happen, so is it this you're struggling with? Could it be something to do with the angle you have it at when sitting down? What leg do you rest it on? I ask, because if you're right handed, but rest it on your left knee ( a kind of classical trait i'd say), it'd be tilted at a harsher angle than when you are standing up.

How to solve an audience clapping out of time

I did. Although i went from a HD112 and a HD210. I now have 2 TKS S112s. You wont hear any complaints from me about them.
-
Old strings Don't know what gauge they are as I have never changed them! Low action but without fretbuzz. I value being able to control my dynamics, so I set the volume higher than necessarily needed, and play lightly. When I want/need to dig in,then you will know about it
Have you checked the internal fuse? I managed to find this photo off the web and added an arrow showing the location. Fingers crossed
I haven't, but I'll be doing that tonight! Nice one for the headsup! Thanks Nic, I'll give him a buzz if it isn't the internal fuse. Cheers everyone.
Have you considered adoption?
Plenty of times. He is a human wrecking ball haha. I bought it second hand off here so no receipt unfortunately

Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass '70s (Candy Apple Red)

So,long story short, my boy switched my amps power supply to 115 from 230 whilst it was on and I was out the room. It's a Tecamp Puma 900. I have changed both fuses on the input, but it still doesn't work . Sad face. So something on the board has blown. Is it worth sending it back to Tecamp to repair? Or will they tell me it needs a whole new board and as such isn't worth repairing? I would have emailed and asked them, but there is no email contact that I can see on their site. So, what do you all think?
-
It should be ok. I have a sansamp, but will have to rely on our vocal monitor for onstage monitoring. Not ideal, but best of a bd situation
-
Yeh I've changed both fuses in the back of the amp. No joy Guessing it's the board Thanks for the offer but I'm a bit far away. Appreciate it though
-
Gotta make this brief as time is a factor... Got a gig tonight. Set up my bass and amp to check the signal chain as it as hissing last night. Found the problem. Left it on as I went to the toilet. Came bcd , my one year old is playing with the 230/115v selector switch......feck I've swapped a new fuse in, but no luck. I there anything else I could potentially look at? Or has the board definitely gone? It's a puma 900 . Bloody kids

Looks great !
Boy am I glad I finally opened this thread anyway. That was fantastic! Thanks for posting.
Good things come to those who wait
That really was brilliant!
I agree. I still watch it! -
Yeh, I've only dipped my toe into this style. But its very clever, as you said. I've seen one quartet where there was no drummer, and the bassist was kind of the percussionist too. Very impressive.
-
One which id suggest is Johnny B Goode. It can be played in a relatively easy way. Always goes down well when we play it. One chord pattern repeated through the whole song so there aren't many "parts" to remember. I think you should use a music stand if you need to, but if you have a good bit of time to practice, i doubt you'll need one.
-
Nice. Has to be a bargain at £88 as long as it works surely?! Edit to say ive always found Behringer stuff i've had great kit. Especially the newer stuff
-
Behringer has always seemed to take a little flak on here. Ive not used much of it, but recently bought a new Behringer digital mixer and power amp and both have been brilliant.
The luthier made it...don't know how...few pick player use the little finger as rest under the g string.
So is the wear on the bass "relic'd" rather than from years of use? Only because you say the luthier made it? Its a lovely bass either way, i was just wondering
-
That was brilliant. Cheers for posting

I am just looking to get some lights for our band too. I have no idea where to start. . . . http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320-10mm-LED-RGB-DJ-WASH-BAR-LIGHT-DMX512-EFFECTS-/231687582233?hash=item35f1a7f219#ht_25wt_1399 Something like that? To face back at the band? Then some spots to face outwards? I've been in plenty of bands before with lights, but paid absolutely no attention to them what so ever. I really have no clue, so all help is appreciated. Can start my own thread if needed?
