1. Fair enough! Yeh, get down and try out a Big Twin. You'll love it
2. Good suggestions above. A Big Twin T has got to be worth a shout. Can i ask though, do you NEED that much volume? Or do you go for this setup because of the tone you get? I would have thought there is a single amp solution out there for you? Maybe getting the distortion through a pedal? And running a power amp and Preamp setup for the huge amounts of clean power? Seems a lot of gear to be lugging about!!
3. I really want to like them. Nirvana got me interested in music in the first place, so I love Dave Grohl. The rest all seem like good people! I just find the music pretty middle of the road. Can't get into it. Apart from "Everlong". That's a great song
4. What a beauty!
5. Cheers bud! I see you are local, should get together for a jam
6. PRICE DROP £450 This is a lightweight amp that packs a massive punch. Clean and neutral sounding IMO, with huge amounts of headroom. The taste control being especially useful to get the sound you want. I generally run the EQ flat, and make any changes via the taste control. Super easy to use. In excellent condition, as it has been kept in it's carry case, which is included in the sale. I had a problem with it, but i sent it for repair, and the tech fixed the issue with a £2 part. I've had a 4 hour practice, and a couple of 1 + hour jams with it to ensure all is working. It didn't skip a beat. All good Postage is available at buyers expense. I wouldn't think it would cost more than £15. It will come in the box it was originally bought in. Trials are welcome. No trades. Thanks for looking
7.
Because we're not friends. Blue
We don't have falling out because we are all mates from school. There are times we disagree, but we say what we have to say, have a vote on it, if that's needed, then move on. We have all known each other long enough to say stop being a knob, suck it up. It seems to work
8. Patrick Stump - Soul Punk Singer of Fall Out Boy for those who don't know. Really cool album. Not what you'd expect at all. Can tell his influences are MJ and Prince from this. Don't know anyone else who even has heard it!
9. The streamer is the only bass i've used to gig since i had it 5 years ago. Many have come and gone in that time, but the streamer will always remain!! Its got a super slim neck, its a '87 stage 1, and has all the tonal options i need with a P+J P/UP configuration. I love it. I havent had too many dirty looks, although that might be because i avoid eye contact I would like to try a Spector like yours though. Although i did have one, it'd be a 4
10. Lovely! I love the buckeye burl top. Im a Warwick streamer user, and have always fancied a Spector. One day..... Yours looks beautiful. Congrats! If you do a playing video, can we at least have some fire. It'll really set the buckeye off
11.
Feel free to PM me as well/instead of if it`s too early for Pete. I`m 8 years down the line.
Thanks Lozz.. Will do
12. Very Punk Rock Great way to learn how to go about these things. I've been tempted to have a go at it myself. A project similar would probably be best suited incase i make a complete botch of it
13. I cant compare it to your current rig, having never played through a GK rig. But the Big Twin 2 is immense. Very articulate, and can go very very loud. Dispersion is not a problem!! You will hear everything you play without a problem.
14. Good on you for getting it sorted! I kind of have a question regarding a friend. No, this isn't one of those "friend" situations, but i don't want to derail the thread from your achievements. Could i PM you?
15. Nice. Congrats!
16. I love the colour and figuring of the Camphor!
17.
I was going to get a mirrored one, but I teach on youtube and I dont really want it mirroing back whats on screen etc. May get it for gigging etc though. Does it get mucky at all? Finger prints etc?
I had a mirrored one on a PBass. Looked great, but did get a bit murky. It wasn't properly mirrored/chromed though. Just had a slight mirrored effect.
18.
Golly, you were right!
Must be a blue moon
19. Enjoyed it. Cool band. dlloyd, if you're into this, give The Lydian Collective a listen. I think you'll enjoy
20. I'd be surprised if you were the first to think to try this tbh
21. Is that not possible with the Bergs?
22. Pay the money and get the TKS how you want them. It might just cure your GAS! I withdrew mine after realising what a mistake i would be making. Short of getting a few roadies to move around a stupidly heavy rig for me, i wouldnt swap for anything. Great sound, lightweight, look how i want. There's just no need for me to get anything else
23. I would go for the J type. For looks, and because i prefer j style pickups to your other option. What type of music do you play? If i was going to mod the Gallus, i'd stick another humbucker by the neck
